Karlie was sitting in the VS lobby, waiting to be called in to sign her contract agreement. As she went to pick up her phone to send Taylor a text, she noticed a text just came through from her girlfriend.
Karlie laughed to herself knowing that they always seem to do things like that.

Hey you. Just wanted to send a quick text wishing you luck with your meeting. I miss you and love you. Call me later. Xoxoxoxox Taylor

Karlie sent a quick reply...

Hi. Just waiting to go in any minute now. I miss you and love you more. I'll call you when I'm done.
Xoxoxox Karlie

Taylor's smile ran from ear to ear. She wasn't expecting such a quick response, so it was a nice surprise.

"Miss Kloss, please follow me."

Karlie, her manager and two lawyers followed the woman down the hall and into a large conference room where they met the VS finance/legal team.

An hour later, Karlie was on her way home. She just signed a 5 year 15 million dollar contract. Her breakdown was 5 million upfront with the balance being paid out over the remaining years. She was in absolute disbelief.

She got to her apartment and immediately called her mother. They cried and laughed and cried again. Karlie's emotions were all over the place. Her dream finally came true. It was her time to shine. When they got off the phone, she reviewed some of the requirements of VS. They covered it in the meeting, but she wanted to go over it again.

Karlie's eyes would go from being really wide to squinting, her eyebrows would raise and then fall.
Geez, they have some crazy requirements. Thank God I actually like to work out because I literally have to keep a perfect 6 pack of abs for 5 years.

Once she was done, Karlie called Taylor to tell her all of the details.

"Hi honey," Taylor answered.

"OMG Taylor you are NEVER going to believe this. They are paying me 15 million dollars for a 5 year contract."
Karlie started jumping up and down, screaming like a little kid.

"That's awesome Karls. Did they give you a schedule yet?"

"Not yet, but I was told that I should have it by the end of the week. You have no idea how excited I am. I'm going to travel the world Tay, on such a larger scale than what I'm doing now. Italy, Argentia, Spain, Tokyo, Russia...you name it and I'll be there."

"Tay? You there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. I was just thinking."

"You're thinking about how I'm going to be away all the time and I'll never see you and forget about you an-..."

Taylor cut the model off, "Stop Karlie. It's not funny," as she was wiping away her tears. "I'm going to miss you and what if there IS a possibility that you'll forget about me and what if you'll be surrounded by gorgeous women all the time and what if you want to go out with someone else and then we break up."

"What if what if what if..what if I find a balance between my job and my personal life? What if I talk to my girlfriend so much while I'm away that there's no time for her to even miss me? What if I'm surrounded by gorgeous women and I suddenly fall into a depression because no matter how gorgeous they may be, they will never compare to my blue eyed princess that I'm planning on spending the rest of my life with."

Taylor was silent but Karlie could hear her smile. "You always know what to say to make me feel better baby."

"Listen Tay, it's going to be hard at times but the good thing is that VS travel shoots normally don't last more than 3-4 days. So, it's really not going to be as bad as you might think. Plus, we always have FaceTime. We can see each other whenever we want....just to say hello or....you know."
