The next day flew by as Taylor and Karlie made their way home. They arrived in NY around midnight and loaded up the singers SUV with their luggage. As they began to drive off, Karlie told the driver he could drop her off at her apartment.

"What? Why?" Taylor asked.

"I don't have any clothes at your house. I moved everything back out. I'll be over tomorrow."

"You can just take the car back to my place Jim. I'll be staying at Karlie's." The singer said as she grabbed her girlfriends hand.

"Hahaha, you never stay at my apartment."

"That's because you're always at mine. Do you want me to go home? I can. If you want your space or just to be alone, I get it." Taylor started to ramble as she waited for a response. She wanted to go wherever Karlie was.

"I would love for you to sleep over." Karlie replied as she leaned over and kissed her.

There was a chuckle coming from the front seat.

"Did you say something Jim? Taylor asked.

"No Taylor, it was nothing," he replied.

"Lies Jim, all lies," Karlie said as they all started to laugh. "Just say it. What made you laugh?"

"I've been Taylor's driver for over 8 years now and I've had the opportunity to watch her grow up. In all of those years, I've never seen her so happy, as when she's with you. I enjoy watching the two of you interact with each other. My wife and I were the same way when we first met and 34 years later, we still are. It's very clear you love each other, don't let that go."

"Thank you Jim, that' so sweet. When is your 35th wedding anniversary?" Taylor asked.

"Next month. I have to make sure I get a great gift. She deserves it."

The two girls looked at one another as they reflected on the words that Jim said.

They got to Karlie's apartment and threw themselves on the couch. Karlie laid her head on Taylor's lap as the singer stroked her hair.

"So, what do you think we should do?"

"About what?" Taylor asked.

"Jim's anniversary. I know you're thinking about it. What do you think we should do for him?"

Taylor laughed because her girlfriend was 100% correct, that's exactly what she was thinking about.

"What do you think we should do," my sexy model you?"

Karlie turned on her back, so she could see Taylor's face. "I think we should send them on an all expense paid trip to Italy. We loved it there and I think they will too."

"I think that's a great idea babe. They'll love it." Taylor leaned down to kiss the model. "I can kiss your lips all day long."

Karlie got up, grabbing Taylor's hand and leading her to the bathroom, where they took a shower together. As they were washing themselves, Karlie asked when their first appointment to meet a counselor was. She knew Taylor probably already had 10 interviews set up.

"The first one is Tuesday at 8am." Taylor said.

"Damn, babe, why so early on my day off?

"Sorry Kar, but you're leaving for LA on Friday, so I wanted to get as many in as I could. I was able to book four appointments for Tuesday, and we have one on Wednesday."

"Oooooook."

The two girls made their way to bed. Karlie grabbed her laptop to check her social media as Taylor leaned against her with her head on models shoulder.
