Saturday morning has arrived and Abigail is back at Taylor's. Andrea managed to smooth things over between the girls. She couldn't let such a good friend get tossed by the wayside.

Taylor's friends were arriving at local hotels all over the city. The who's who of the music industry, wouldn't miss out on the annual birthday bash.

Andrea, Selena and Abby were busy running around decorating the house, directing the caterer's to the kitchen, while Scott oversaw the photo booth getting delivered. Everything seemed to be falling into place except for one thing.

"Where's Taylor", Andrea asked.

"She's probably on the roof still." Selena said. "I heard her get up around 4am and asked if she was ok. She just nodded and walked past me, heading up to her safe haven. I haven't seen her since and it's almost noon."

"I'll go check on her."

Austin made his way upstairs, to find his sister curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.

"You do realize it's December 12th, in NYC. Are you trying to get sick?"

"I'm fine. The couch is covered by a gazebo and there's a space heater out here. I'll survive," Taylor said.

"Do you think that maybe you should come downstairs and help, or at least supervise? Everyone is worried about you."

Taylor looked at her brother as she said, "Did you ever wish you could go back and change the past?"

"Of course. Doesn't everyone? But we can't. My philosophy professor once said, 'We can't change the road we already traveled on but we can change the road we're still on', meaning you can't change your past, but you can still determine your future."

"Well aren't we just all philosophical," Taylor said as the two shared a laugh.

"Come on, let's go downstairs." Austin extended his hand but the singer refused to take it.

"I'm scared Austin."

He sat down next to his sister as he asked what she was scared of.

"I'm scared of letting her go."

She looked at her brother as tears began to fall. "I just miss her so much and I'm not ready to say goodbye."

Austin pulled his sister in to a hug as tears began to fill his eyes. He had never seen her so broken before.
They sat there for another 30 minutes before making their way downstairs to join everyone else.

All eyes were on Taylor as she entered the living room.

"Hi baby," Andrea said.

"Hi."

"I was just about to order some food," Scott said. "What would you like?"

"I'm not hungry."

"Taylor, you need to eat something."

"I'M NOT HUNGRY DAD."

The singer stormed up the stairs to her bedroom, curling herself into a tight ball as she hugged her six foot giraffe she brought back from Nashville.

"Taylor?"

"Leave me alone mom."

"Taylor, I'm not leaving. You don't need to talk, just listen.... I know you love Karlie and I to hope that you both work through this. But I'm worried about you, we all are. You're shutting down. You don't eat, you don't sleep and you hardly see any of your friends. This isn't healthy. You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You're not the first person to ever experience a break up and you won't be the last. How about you come back to Nashville for a little bit? Maybe invite Selena, to help get your mind off things."
