"KARLIE ARE YOU READY, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR MY DOCTOR APPOINTMENT."

"COMING BABE."

Karlie raced down the stairs as Taylor was standing by the door, tapping her foot. The two girls hopped in the SUV as Karlie leaned over and kissed Taylor's cheek, while turning the truck on.

"You're so funny, Kar. You typically wake up early and today of all days you decide to sleep in."

"Taylor, that wasn't my fault. Who was the one that woke me up for a quickie? And unfortunately, it wasn't as quick as we anticipated. You wore me out babe, I was tired."

"Uhhhh, this traffic is insane. We're gonna be late. We should of had a driver. What if there's no parking?"

Karlie reached over and grabbed Taylor's hand. "Babe, relax. We'll make it."

"I'm just so nervous Kar. What if my hormone levels aren't where they need to be?"

There was nothing Karlie could say that would put her wife's mind at ease and she knew that. All she could do was hold her hand and be an ear for her to vent to.

They arrived at the doctors with five minutes to spare. Taylor signed in and took a seat next to Karlie, as she rested her head against the models shoulder.

"Taylor, you can come in now." A woman in scrubs said as she held the door open for both Taylor and Karlie.

The girls walked into the exam room, as Taylor was instructed to sit on the table.

"The doctor will be in, in a few minutes."

Karlie stood by her wife and grabbed her hand.

"Geez Tay, your hands are freezing."

"I know. I'm just nervous. My whole body is freezing."

Karlie removed her hoodie and put it on Taylor. She then climbed on the table and sat behind her wife, rubbing her arms up and down really fast to try and warm her up.

"Is that any better?"

"A little." Taylor replied.

Dr. Parker walked in the room and chuckled at the sight of the two girls.

"Comfortable ladies?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, Dr. Parker. I'll get down. Taylor was just a little cold."

"You're fine Karlie. You can stay there if Taylor doesn't mind. All we're doing is taking some blood today." Dr. Parker said as he turned to grab a syringe and a couple of blood containers.

"Want me to move babe?" Karlie whispered, as Taylor shook her head no.

The doctor drew some blood and called a nurse to come and take it to their onsite lab.

"We're going to get you an answer today as to whether your hormone levels are ok enough for the next step. It'll take around thirty minutes. I'll be back."

Karlie wrapped her arms tight around Taylor and kissed her cheek. "I love you baby," she whispered in her ear. "You are going to be an amazing mother. Our little girl is going to be so lucky to have you."
