"Jinx, you suck." I looked at her beautiful eyes. "You suck so bad."
"That's such a nice greeting, Calvin."
"You're welcome."
I sat down on the pavement with my head between my knees. She sat down next to me and I just stared at her.
"Don't you have anything else to do? Maybe you have to put fire to a forest or rob a bank or something?" I told her.
"No, how low do you think of me?" She looked at me with an amused expression.
"Very low."
"You suck, too."
"Thanks."
A few minutes of silence passed them I felt her hand on my head, patting me. "It's alright, Calvin. No one would've expected it."
"W-what are you talking about?"
"With Charlotte."
I instantly stood up, blushing red. "You saw that?!"
"Yeah, of course I did. Who wouldn't have?"
"Were you watching me?!"
"Yeah, ever since I kicked you out, you kept entering my head and you've invaded my thoughts. Why wouldn't I be watching you? You're such an idiot."
Taken aback by her sudden confession, my face heated up even more than I knew it could. Only Jinx was able to do this kind of thing. "W-well, anyway, it was nice meeting you. I'll go now." I began walking away.
She tugged on my sleeve, making me halt. "Wait, Calvin."
"What?" I couldn't turn back to her and because of that my mind was going insane. "I don't like you anymore. I really don't. You've hurt me so much. Do you have any idea how much I've cried over you? Do you even know how it feels like?"
"I do."
I turned back to her, seeing the tears brimmed in her eyes. "What?"
"I do, Calvin. You showed me that already. When you rejected me when I was at your window, I felt hurt. Really hurt. I didn't know what to do with myself. I couldn't think of anything else besides you. In fact, I'm really pissed that you were the only topic I could think of. I should think about cooking. Hey, Calvin's good at cooking. Wait, I should think about football. Haha, Calvin was never good at football. No matter what topic I thought of, it always lead to you. So now, if anyone sucks, it's you."
"Well, thanks but just saying, I could have led a normal life but no. Now, I have to deal with this weird drama. My parents are gone, all I have left now is my stupid backpack and the house which I currently live in is a place I can't return to because I just ran away from one of the people living there."
"I feel like kissing you right now." And she did.
I jolted, shocked by what has suddenly occurred. My mind was going blank. This wasn't like the other times with the other girls. Of course it wasn't, it was Jinx.
When I realized what I was thinking, I quickly tried to regain what was left of my senses and pushed her away. "Stop it."
"No."
She kissed me again but this time, with more force. She seemed passionate but somehow desperate as well. It was like she was trying to transmit all her feelings through that one simple kiss. Not long after, I found myself kissing her back and it made me realize that I wasn't over her, in fact, I was yearning for her. I was yearning for her touch, her voice, her smile.
"You suck, Jinx."
"I know. You do, too."
"I just need to get one thing straight though. Why Jinx and what's your real name?"
"Jinx because when I was younger, I used to cause trouble to whomever I was associated with and my real name? Angela Smith."
"Angela?"
"My nickname from my dad was Angel."
"And it just so happened that I would call you Angel as well?"
"I was surprised at first but I learned not to make a big deal out of it."
I pecked her lips and said, "I hate you so much."
"I do, too."
"You ruined my life."
"That's why they call me Jinx."
"Touché."
