Hey!

So. Hehe. Sorry I haven't updated at all lately. And I'm sorry @shope29 cuz I promised it earlier. I'm so sorry. But I've finished my latest update. I hope you like it. Hehe.

"Are you seriously doing this?" I questioned, mortified.

"Why not? It's tradition." Mississippi replied. There was something about him that made me feel suspicious.

"It's tradition to swim in the cold January air?"

"Yeah. It's tradition to go to a nearby swimming pool during January, alright? Right when it's just about to get warm. You'd be surprised at how nice the water will be."

"Fine."

These people were insane. Normal people would've just spent their hours, cozy in a wrap of blankets and here we are, preparing to go to a beach.

"I'm not swimming." I claimed.

"Why not?" Mississippi asked as he packed a thick, white towel into his blue duffel bag.

"I don't have a swimsuit." And I also don't want to get sick and have brain infection like you guys do. Thank you very much.

"I've got you covered. You can borrow mine. It'll probably be a little loose but I'm sure you can adjust." Damn it. You got me there.

"I can't swim."

"I can teach you."

"I want you to spend your time having fun."

"Teaching you will be fun. I've learned that through experience."

"Do you have an answer to every excuse I'll make?"

"Not unless you have asthma." He said. He zipped up his bag and slung it on his shoulder. "You ready to go?"

"I didn't even prepare anything."

"That's why I did. While you were blabbing to me about how much you wouldn't like to swim in the start of the year, I took the liberty to pack for two." He shot me a warm smile as he said so.

"Well, thanks. I might as well swim then."

"Besides, you'll be able to see Jinx in a swimsuit." He smirked at me. I was pretty sure would've had a spit take if I was drinking water.

I immediately blushed at that part while he laughed at my reaction. "Will I get to see her?" I asked, persistent.

"Yes." A smug grin was plastered onto his face.

"Then let's go." I immediately said with a little too much enthusiasm.

We walked out the room and headed over to where everyone else was. They were out back, chilling there in their towels and shorts.

I shivered as I stepped onto the back porch, the mild wind brushing passed my thinly-covered back. I was in a singlet and khakis. Who wouldn't shiver? Am I right or what?

I watched as Jinx and everyone else passed around a soccer ball, Jordan and Pericles in the middle trying to take the ball from whoever had it. It looked sort of like Monkey in the Middle except they were kicking the ball instead of throwing it.

"You guys ready to go yet? Or are you all waiting to be accepted in FIFA?" Mississippi commented. Again, something about him seemed off.

"Sure." Jinx replied, doing this trick with her foot to chip the ball up and catch it in her hands. Amazing. She's a whole lot of everything in one that it scares me. Maybe it was because her past lives were of famous and talented people. You'll never know.
