"Okay, I'm not gonna talk to you anymore."
I was shocked once the words left my lips. Looking at her, I could see that she was shocked too.
"O-okay. Fine. Let's go."
She walked out while I followed. She returned the keys, the manager not even there and we left California yet again. The whole trip was silent, she didn't even look back to see if I was still there. I stared at the road ahead of us, looking at how damaged the road looked and thinking about how much the government should start fixing it. I reached up to scratch my face but soon remembered the pain a single touch brought and thought otherwise. My eyes were fixed on the road and I started to think. Think about Jinx. She has been moody all day and after all she did, I forgave her. Why? I don't know. Maybe it was the crush...
Why hasn't it gone yet? She's been so mean, she even punched my face, which was scary by the way, how in the world did I end up liking her in the first place? Just cuz she was different?
The more I thought about it, the more I was mad. Why in the world would I forgive her? She's been nothing but mean. And then I'm here, wasting away and for what? A little adventure? This is too fricking stupid.
We stopped at a gas station to refuel, still, no one spoke. By now, we were probably in New Mexico or something. After all, we didn't stop and it was already 8:00pm. It was sad that I was too busy daydreaming to even look at the signs. Ugh.
"Ah, Jesus, my butt hurts." Jinx said.
I ignored her. Just like I said I would. Then we went on and arrived at an ugly, old motel yet again, sneaking our way in like we always did, still not speaking a word. I dropped my bag down and laid down on the smelly bed, immediately falling asleep.

I woke up when I heard footsteps. They were coming from outside. I checked my watch, it was three in the morning, who the hell would be up in this hour? I turned to my side to still see Jinx, sound asleep then the door burst open, revealing an angry manager. That's new.
She was about six feet, a little skinny, her limbs longer than they should be and there was a vein popping out of her forehead. Yep. She was mad. Okay, I'm scared....again.
I kept nudging Jinx, gesturing for her to wake up then the woman started to stomp over to us, making me more scared with every passing minute. She finally woke up then her eyes bulged when they landed on the woman who was right behind her.
She scrambled to get her bag while I did the same to get mine, making sure that the keys were left on the nightstand. She jumped out of the window and so did I. After all, this room was on the first floor. That's good.
We rushed to our bikes and drove away, the woman chasing us a few meters and finally giving up. We drove into the city and parked in a dark alleyway. I leaned on the wall and so did she, me next to her.
"Wow, that was close." I muttered, out of breath.
"Hey, I thought that you were fixed on ignoring me." She mumbled, glancing at me then back at the floor.
"Was I even talking to you?"
"We were being chased by a skeleton who gave up in the first few meters, need I remind you that we were on our bikes?" She asked, pissed. "Or do your lungs just somehow think that they're supposed to digest your food instead of convert oxygen to carbon dioxide?
"Haha." I said sarcastically. "Very funny."
"That's not my fault now is it?"
"And it's not my fault that I have a problem with peer pressure and skinny women chasing me."
