Hello!!!

How you liking the first chapter? I hope it was fine. Hehehe...

We had a quick departure from my new found friend, Dean. I couldn't believe that he was quite a nice guy if you got to know him. To think, I'd think that Dean the Mugger was a pretty nice guy. I laughed at the thought and leaned forward, catching a glimpse of Jinx's face, it was dark and stoic like usual.

"Do you have any emotions other than sarcasm, thrill and boredom?" I asked, breaking the peaceful silence.

"I have blank, emptiness and SHUT YOUR MOUTH OR I'LL DITCH YOU."

"I see that you're very anti-social." I chuckled at her. "Normally, it's the guy who's distant and the girl who's friendly, not the other way around." I pointed out.

"Well to bad, I ain't normal."

"I think that we've already established that." A smug grin plastered on my face.

"Wipe that smile off your face or I'll wipe it for you and god knows that it won't be nice." Did she have eyes at the back of her head or something? She didn't even have to look at me to know that I was smiling and as if I voiced out my thoughts, she voiced out hers. "I'm telepathic."

"You're joking, right?"

"Oh no, I was from a government secret agency and they tested me and put chemicals in my body and now I'm super smart and super telepathic." Sarcasm lingering in her voice.

"You're not friendly." I pouted.

"And you're too friendly."

"We're gonna be friends. I could tell."

"You are shit at predicting the future."

I wasn't sure if we were actually gonna be friends but my gut was telling me so and my gut is always right. It's telling me that this sad and pathetic excuse of a friendship was gonna become an actual one and I didn't want to argue with that.

"You are so naive." She mutters. "You're always looking for the good in people. It's stupid."

My heart started to race, probably because this girl hasn't said more than one sentence. Stupid, I know.

"You never see the horrible side, not even with people who are sure trouble. Why did you follow me into the city?" Her voice was still blank with no emotion, it sort of sickened me to see her always bottle up her emotions. I know that she feels something, she's just hiding it and I'm gonna prove it.

"I was curious. I wanted to know why you would always leave in the middle of the night, every night. I'd always hear your motorbike start and I'd see you take off out of the suburbs and into the city and sometimes, you wouldn't come back till a few days after. Sadly, I still don't know why you do."

"Do you realize what just happened? You were being shot at, horribly if I might add."

"Amen to that." I chuckled a bit but she just kept silent yet again.

"You knew that I was trouble yet you still followed. You could get yourself killed by staying with me."

"Well, for one thing, you're never happy. Every time I see you in school, it's either a scowl or a plain blank face, maybe a smirk at times but never a smile. I don't like seeing people like that."

"See, you're so naive and you're too good for me. You're throwing your life down the drain just by talking to me." The motorbike was put to a stop and was turned around to face the opposite side of the road. "I'm taking you home."
