I sat down on the ugly-looking-but-not-so-ugly-looking couch and sighed. There have already been about sixteen times when I almost asked about her and Janet but keyword: almost. Haha. Ba dum tsss.....
I've been opening and closing my mouth, thinking that I'd ask then changing my mind. I probably looked like a fish. Hmmm, funny. I've never exactly liked fish. Their bones would get stuck in your gums and it would hurt to get them out. Ouch. I'm shivering just thinking about it.
Jinx was in the bathroom and Janet was eating a jelly donut which she had to pay for by the way. I was stuck eating those triangle rice things that the Japanese would have with some unknown filling which I apparently love. I moaned in pleasure from the taste. Where have you been all my life? I thought to the food I had in my hands. Even the wonderful taste of this could block out the horrible, smoky stench in the room.
Soon, Jinx walked out of the bathroom, a new change of clothes and wet hair. I could already feel the air thicken in the room.
"How's the weather?" I asked, as awkward as ever. So awkward that if you needed an awkward person to start an awkward conversation, I would be your guy.
"It's...good." Jinx replied, confused.
"How're you getting your car back?" I asked Jenna.
"I'm gonna have someone get back there with me to pick it up...if someone hasn't stolen it yet, that is."
"I see..." Awkward much? "So..."
"So...." Jinx said then started whistling like what people did during awkward situations. If only I could whistle...that'd be great. Or maybe snap...snap my mouth shut. Pfffft. Haha. Ba dum tsss...I'm such a loner.
"Well, it's obvious that you guys don't know each other so why are you guys so hateful towards each other?" I finally asked, munching on the last of my meal and licking my fingers, relieved that I finally had enough courage to ask them.
"That's none of your business, James." Jinx snarled, looking at me dead serious now. She really can scare the living daylights out of me.
"His name isn't James, it's Calvin." Janet argued, standing up to walk to Jinx.
"That's just my last name." I said though it sounded more like a whisper. "No need to argue, girls." I looked at them as they both glared at me and told me to butt out.
"Rich bitch." Jinx spat.
"Mysterious, PMS bitch." Janet retorted.
"Free-loading, demanding, spoiled bitch."
"Psycho, crazy, idiotic, selfish bitch."
"Psycho and crazy is the same thing, dumbass." Jinx said, smirking. "Looks like you don't got much brains in that hard, little head of yours. You better run back to your rich-ass mommy and daddy and get your head fixed."
Janet's cheeks flared in anger. "I refuse to speak to someone with such a rude and sad excuse of manners." She turned away, her arms folded.
"That's it." Jinx said then put Janet on her shoulder. Who knew that she was that strong? I definitely didn't. Hehe, note to self, remember not to make her mad. Amen.
She took the key and her bag, striding out as I awkwardly followed with all my stuff. Janet struggled to be free of her grasp but to no avail. I kept trying to reason with Jinx, saying that Janet wasn't that bad but only got profanities as a reply. Yep, she was definitely mad.
Jinx finally put her down and stomped towards the counter, carelessly placing the keys back on where they were supposed to be. She walked to her bike while I walked to mine.
