"Hey, Calvin." Jinx called.
"Yea-" I said but was soon cut off by a knee in the balls. I got on my knees and placed my hands on the injured area to ease the pain. "What was that for?"
"For surprising me."
"Surprising you? How?" I asked, my balls still hurting and my knees glued to the smelly, filthy, carpeted floor.
"In the car..." Oh. That.
"But did you seriously have to knee me for it? You did the exact same thing to me when we were in the alley!"
"I don't see your point."
"1. I seriously feel that I should start wearing a cup and 2. You know, I'm starting to think that you're just coming up with excuses to hurt me."
"Probably." She started walking towards the motel room door but once she passed me, she tripped and face-planted to the same carpeted floor. "Jesus, Calvin. Couldn't you at least try to catch me or something? You've let me fall countless times already..."
"No. If you haven't noticed, you kneed me in the balls and they still hurt and plus, I'm a doormat. Not some handsome prince in shining armor, ready to save a damsel in distress with time that I should clearly spend studying instead.
"It's not my fault that you've become my human punching bag!"
"It is! People don't even need punching bags! Let alone a human one!"
"Whatever." She got up and brushed the back of her pants with her hands. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to have some breakfast at the nearest McDonald's. Good luck with your balls problem."
"What a great friend..." I grumbled, rolling my eyes as I did so.
"Hey, I'm not the one who is into our whole 'friends with benefits' situation." She said as she made it to the door.
I blushed. "You started it, Angel."
"You continued it. Besides, my intentions were different."
I scoffed. "As if. Just admit that you're madly in love with me so we can kiss and make up." I said, sarcasm leaking from my voice.
"I'm sorry, Calvin but I don't lie." She left the room.
I was stuck in silence as I stayed on the floor, holding onto my balls. There wasn't anything for me to do but to clutch my pained balls and to mentally, sensor-curse Jinx for bringing such pain to me for no known reason. And once I regained my usual state, I grabbed my bag, checked for any forgotten items and left the room. I walked over to the McDonald's across the street and looked for the familiar brunette. She was sat down on a booth in a far corner, eating on some nuggets and fries, talking to a guy who left after they bade their goodbyes. That was when I realized that there was no food for me. I sighed and walked over to her.
"I see that you've recovered, Calvin." She nodded at me and bit into a nugget.
"Yeah, no thanks to you." I muttered, taking a seat.
She took out a burger from her bag and handed it to me. "Here you go."
I was actually quite shocked. I was expecting my earlier assumption actually. "Umm, thanks, didn't expect that."
She ignored my further comment. "You're welcome." She pulled out what seemed to be an iTouch and started rapidly tapping her fingers. "Calvin, turn on your wifi and go to Facebook messenger."
"What? Why? I don't even have a Facebook..."
"Give me your iTouch." She held out one of her hands, her eyes still glued to her screen and her other hand, still tapping. I slowly gave it to her, unaware of what was happening. She then started doing things to mine and after about ten minutes, she gave it back. "Now, go to Facebook messenger."
