I read the post it to make sure I wasn't wrong but sadly, I didn't see wrong and I didn't need to go to the eye doctor and let's just say that scared was an understatement. What would he want with me, of all people?

Brent looked over to my shoulder and I stuffed the post it in my pocket before he could see it.

"What's that post it you got?" He asked.

"That's nothing. I swear. It's nothing."

"Love letter?"

"Yeah." So I lied...better than telling him the truth. Well, that's what I'm thinking at the moment. In my defense, it's harder to think when you're under pressure. What would he or she want with me? I'm great and oh so boring Calvin James.

"Really? I didn't know that you had admires."

"Well I do. Hooray."

"You don't sound too happy about it." He eyed me suspiciously.

"I'm just nervous. That's all. You know, the attention and what not." It's mostly true, just the fact that I wasn't referring to an admirer, just a possible murderer. No biggy.

"Alright, man." He pats my back and I let out the unknown breath I was holding. I swallow the lump that was forming in my throat and a bead of sweat falls down my forehead. I start to think, it's pretty obvious about what I was thinking about, no longer the normal 'what's happened when I was drunk' thing, no, 'it was a thought of will I die tomorrow.'

What could possibly go wrong?

I was sitting down in my usual spot, playing the spaghetti on my plate with a blank expression and I'd get worried glances from everyone in the group and by everyone, I mean everyone, including Jinx. That's how horrible it was. Today was the day I was supposed to meet the 'admirer' so basically, it was tomorrow.

Well, at least Jinx is showing more emotion. More than when I first met her, that is.

"Umm Calvin, you alright?" Jinx asks, putting an arm on my shoulder and making me as shocks as I'll ever be in my entire mortal life.

"Uh yah. I'm fine, just got a low score in a test."

"Yeah, that's typical Calvin for ya'." Brent added.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Calvin, you're not acting like yourself." She placed her hands on my shoulders. "The Calvin I know wouldn't mope over a test. Whenever you get low on a test, you just shrug it off and move on because he has other high grades to make up for it."

I remove her hands from my shoulders and put mine on hers. "Well, you're acting different as well. First of all, you have never showed this much emotion towards me and I'm very please and second, you notice little things such as that?" I smirk at her.

"I'm just observant and I need you in top shape, every time and all the time."

"Okay, okay. Now, I'm gonna go and walk for a while, I'll see you in the classroom."

I stand up, throw my barely eaten food and start to walk away. Sad waste of food money.

"Observant? You haven't been that caring since...since...ever! It's either I'm missing something or I'm going insane!" Brent yelled.

"Oooh, my little Rebel is finally growing up!" Jenna gushed.

"Shut up!" She screamed as I finally reached the door and left. I took a few steps in the hallway until some hooded boy came up to me.
