I looked behind me at all the bikes lining the street. In the front was Clay with Gemma on the back of his bike and Jax with me on the back of his bikes. "So do y'all remember how this plays out," I ask both the guys. They let out a moan and shake their heads yes. "Ok let's do it," I tell them as their engines roar to life. We started moving forward as the other bikes followed behind us. We turned down the road the club was on and I could see all the lights from the party. As we turned into the club parking lot the flames started shooting into the air announcing our entrance at the same time fireworks shot off in all different directions lighting up the sky. "Now," I whisper in Jax's ear. Jax pulled back on the throttle causing his front wheel to leave the ground into a wheelie. Clay followed suit and as they pressed harder on their throttle the exhaust shot out red flames. At our entrance the crowd went crazy as we parked our bikes in front of the stage cutting them off. Jax took my arm as Clay took Gemma's leading us up onto the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen welcome the King and Queen of SamCro Clay and Gemma," Ty yelled into the microphone as the crowd went crazy. "And now I would like to welcome the Prince and Princess of SamCro Jax and Sarah Teller. Everyone give it up for the birthday girl who made history just yesterday. This woman is not only the Princess of SamCro but the first woman to ever be patched into this club full of motorcycle enthusiasts we know as the Sons of Anarchy. Everyone give it up for our royalty and their army." The crowd went crazy as flames shot out of all the post Opie had hooked up. I walked over to where Ty stood with the microphone and took it from his hands. "I can't tell you how good it is to be back home," I say into the mic as I turn to face the crowd, "I stand here humble before you today. I know without the Redwood charter I wouldn't be standing here today. I can't tell y'all how much I feel when I look around this parking lot and see many faces I don't know and many I do know but nevertheless I look at these men and know I will never be alone again. I've found my family and my place as Princess of SamCro and my place at the table. So let's party and get fucked up!"

I watched as Sarah stood up and took her place at SamCro. I was torn because I felt pride as I watched her on stage but I was terrified for her. "Lead the way my prince," Sarah says linking her arm in mine. "Do you think they are watching," I ask her whispering it into her ear. She looks around before leading me into a corner away from everyone and saying, "It's why I took the mic so I could stare around crowd without them being suspicious. I kept seeing something reflecting from the building across from us. I couldn't see much but a shadow and something reflective but yes they are watching us closely." "Do we send someone up," I ask her all of a sudden worried about security around the club. "I don't know," she says shrugging her shoulders turning to look around the club. "Good time to take out your army," I tell her. She looks back to me in shock before she takes off walking across the parking lot. I let out a whistle signaling for Happy and Juice to follow us. I watched as Sarah started making her way up the fire escape of the building and I followed her close behind. As we neared the top Sarah pulled her gun out from behind her back and I motioned for Happy and Juice to go first. I knew Sarah wouldn't be happy with me sending them before her. She would know I was doing it for her protection which always seemed to annoy her. "Clear," I hear Happy say from the roof. We all climbed on top of the roof then. When we made it over the top there were pictures scattered all over the roof of Sarah through out the years. Pictures of her when she was a little girl, a teenager with Jax, a grown woman with Joey, and then pictures of her recently in bed with Jax but what shocked me was the pictures of me. They had pictures through my entire life and half were pictures taken when I had been running guns. Then in the middle of the pictures it read on the roof, "You thought it was all about you too." "It's not the club he wants to take down," Sarah says turning to look at me, "it's you too." "Back to the club now folks," Happy says ushering us forward obviously uncomfortable being out in the open with both the targets and only Juice as back up. "Ok," Sarah says grabbing onto my hand leading me to the fire escape.

We reached the inside of the gate and I immediately turned around shutting it. Once it was shut Happy came up behind me and locked it with a padlock. "I'm putting some of the men on guard around the perimeter of the club," Happy tells me before he walks off. "What is it doll," I hear papa ask behind me. I turn facing him trying to keep the tears from falling from my eyes. He grabs me into a hug blocking the crowd from seeing the emotions playing havoc on my face. "They are after Jax," I manage to say my voice cracking as I say it. He pulls me back looking at me in shock but before he can say anything we hear Clay say over the mic, "Church time." I watch as the brothers leave the party to enter the club and I feel Papa's hand pulling me forward. I follow him lost in my thought and I couldn't shake the fear. My kids while they were being threatened they were always in a place that would ensure their safety. Though Jax was walking into the danger everyday and that's when it hit me that this most be how he felt when I patched in. I kind of felt like shit right in that second making him feel the way I did. "You ok darling," Jax ask me as he stops me before the double doors. I put my phone in the box Juice held out before saying, "Shaken but we can do this." We walk in as the double doors shut behind us.

I take my seat to the left of the head of the table as the rest of the men find their seats. "So this is personal," Clay says as he faces the room. "What's the connection," Tig ask us. I start to shrug my shoulders before it hits me and I ask," Sarah didn't my dad leave Belfast a few days before yours was murdered?" She looks around and I can tell she is thinking. "It's been so long," she says putting her hands to her face," I think I remember him being there. Yes he was because he gave me my SamCro necklace that visit. Though what's that have to do with anything?" "Clay he was there on a business run right," I ask directing my question at Clay this time. "Picking up more business I believe," Clay answers me. "Picking up business from where," I ask Clay. "The only person it could've been was the Chinese," Chibs answers me this time,"There weren't really any others in Belfast running guns at the time." "Paying for the sins of our fathers," Sarah says looking across the table. "What do we do," Sarah ask looking up at Clay and myself. "Set a meet and see if we can settle this without anymore death," I answer looking up at the men in the room. "And if it doesn't work," Sarah ask me. I didn't exactly know what to do if it didn't work. It was obvious Lenny and his crew weren't to keen on jumping on the butchers block. They were going hide out and pick us off one by one. "Black  dual," Sarah whispers. I look up to her and ask, "What's that?" "A racing dual to the death," she says looking up at me. "So you want to dual Lenny," I asked her knowing I wouldn't let her. Then the double doors open and Joey walks in. "Only club members," Clay barks out at him. "Wait," Sarah says holding up her hand. "I can't be the one to do it." "I'm the crew leader and so is Lenny so it's me who has to do it," Joey says turning to face me. I knew the relief showed on my face at Joey announcing it would be him to do it. "Come in and shut the door," Clay tells Joey.

"You missed the party," Gemma says as we exit out of the double doors. "Club business ma," Jax answers wrapping his arm around my waist. "Everything ok," Gemma ask as she gives Jax a kiss on the cheek. "Ma like I said club business," Jax says returning the kiss on his mom's cheek. "Ok whatever you say baby," she says walking around picking up the trash around the club. "Let me help you," I say hurrying forward to help. As I went to pick up trash Donna slaps my hand and says," It was your birthday so you go rest and leave the clean up to us." I hugged Donna and say," Once things settle down we are so doing a girls day. Spa, mani, pedi, our hair done, and most importantly something to sip while we are doing all this." "Agreed," Donna says. "Oh wait," Donna says as I'm walking away,"I wanted to take this kids down to the lake and park tomorrow I was wondering if it would be ok? I could bring some of the men." "Yeah just bring Juice, Piney, and of course Opie will be with you," I say turning back to her," Just promise you will be safe." "Promise," she says coming up to hug me and give me a kiss on my cheek. I walk down the hallway to Jax's room and go in. When I enter I hear the sound of snoring. I look over at the bed to a sleeping Jax. I couldn't lose this man because if I was honest my grip on life was gone but he was my rock keeping me together. I knew if I lost Jax it wouldn't be long before I went down along with him. He was my light in this life and I couldn't afford to lose that light. Especially since what little of my own light I had went out the day I pulled the trigger and not only killed a man but executed an unarmed man. I felt the change that day in me and what scared me the most was the monster this life was making me into. It was very tiring and I suddenly felt the weight of it as a crawled in the bed snuggling up next to Jax. I tried to fall asleep but my mind wouldn't shut off long enough to sleep so when I heard the birds chirping and saw the first beams of sunlight I got out of bed heading down to the kitchen. I had always been someone who stressed cooked and this was one those times I realized as I pulled out bacon, sausage, eggs, pancake mix, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.
