Making a Deal

I looked through the scope of my rifle at Joey and Clay who were walking towards the sliding door of the warehouse. Everyone had decided it would be bad for Jax and I to go up with us being the target. It had been tough not to be the one going in when I knew my kids were in danger. Though Joey had eased my mind a little when he had told me that they needed someone to cover them and handed me a rifle. The shipments had came in time that everyone of my crew and the Sons were able to be heavily armed. I watched as Joey knocked on the door. Before I knew it the door had slid open and Joey and Clay were on the grounds with guns pointed at them. I knew if they were about to kill them Ty would walkie us since we had wired Clay before he went in so we could hear what was happening. Though I still looked through the scope at the man who had a gun on Joey ready to kill him at any moment. I watched as one of the men walked to them and leaned down to pat them down. I knew they wouldn't find any weapons this was meant to appear not hostile. We wanted everyone to come out of there alive so the only thing Clay and Joey were given was a razor blade which they had hid in the inside of their shoes. We knew it wasn't much but it was all we could get. If it wasn't for the sunglasses Clay always wore we wouldn't of been able to wire them. The men said something to Clay and Joey and then the two men stood up with guns still pointed at them. They walked through the sliding door and it closed behind them. That's when I realized this warehouse was made for these kind of situations because from my view I couldn't see anything inside the warehouse. That's when I knew I had to get closer. I turned and whispered to Jax,"I'm moving in to get a better view. I want to be able to be in there if anything happens." "But they're wired," Jax tried to tell me but it was to late I was already crawling down the hill towards the warehouse.

"What is she doing," I hear Chibs say over the radio. "Getting an advantage if needed," I replied to him. "Christ you better be following her Jackie boy," Chibs said back to me. "If you would shut up that's what I'm trying to do," I snapped back at him. I started sliding down the dirt hill following Sarah who as of right now was standing behind a huge gas tank. I watched her as I walked forward she was slinging her rifle over her arm as she pulled a pistol out from behind her back. "What are we doing," I ask her as I catch up to her. "You see those windows," she says pointing up to them, "They will offer enough cover we won't get caught if we climb that tree to them. It also gives us an advantage. We will be up high enough in the tree we can climb to the roof if needed." The way she planned this it made me wonder how had she not been in situations before to kill people. She obviously knew what she was doing because the way she thought this through was like a solider. I knew then why so many people respected her in the crowd she ran with. Sarah was a leader and it was obvious then. "Let's go," Sarah says a second before she takes off running throw the tree line to where the one tree was. I took off behind her with my gun drawn as I watched for any of Lenny's men. When I reached the tree line Sarah had already started to climb it. I watched as she easily climbed this tree to the top as I followed her up it. As we reached a limb that branched off towards the window she was talking about she started scooting across the branch. I followed her only on the branch beside her so we would have enough room. When we reached the windows I watched as Sarah slowly pulled the window open so we could get a better view through the dusty dirty window. "We came here to make a deal Lenny," I hear Joey say. I look through the window at Joey and Clay standing with guns pointed at their head and Lenny and Chin across the room glaring at them. "Oh that's right," Lenny says with his finger tapping his chin, "The little boy in the next room is yours." I watched as Joey's face changed from calm to angry back to calm again in a matter of seconds. "You don't have to bring the kids into this," Joey says while clenching his fist. "But I did," Lenny says with a smirk, "You see I needed leverage because I may have underestimated your crew." "Then let's do this the respectful way," Joey tells Lenny. "Oh and what's the respectful way," Lenny ask while waving his hand in a twirling motion. "You want my crew, Sarah, and Jax so come after us," Joey says glaring at Lenny. Lenny takes a drink from his cup thinking for a second before he ask, "And how do you expect me to come after you when your surrounded by a bunch of redneck thugs?" "A crew dual," Joey says, "Whoever can walk away walks away and that's it. After this everything is squashed and it doesn't matter if Sarah and you are both alive no one can go after the other." "I'll tell you what since I like a good challenge I'll agree," Lenny says while tapping his cane on the ground. A huge Chinese man came forward and I watched as all our moods changed. Sarah grabbed her rifle off her shoulder and pointed it at the men below us. Lenny whispered something in the man's ear and the man walked off as Lenny says, "We want the Sons there too." "Why," Clay ask stepping forward before the man reminded him of the gun he held at his head. "If I got the Sons out of the way could you imagine the business I would get," Lenny says while smiling in amusement. "Ok now give us the kids and we can do this tonight just give me the details," Clay tells Lenny. I feel a sense of pride at Clay willing to do what needs to be done to get our children out of their unharmed. I heard a door creak open and then heard foot steps running in the room but couldn't see who it was. I put my gun out in front of me but lowered it when I saw Serenity and Hayden run into the room. I let a breath of relief out as they ran across the room into Joey's arms. The men that had their guns pointed at Joey and Clay's head lowered them at the arrival of the kids. "They wouldn't of  hurt them," Sarah whispers obviously picking it up at the same time I did. "Now leave," Lenny said waving his hand,"We will be in contact." I turned to say something to Sarah but she was gone.

As soon as I heard Lenny tell them to leave I was off down the tree. I knew Jax would be right behind me. As my feet landed on the ground I looked up as Jax slid down in no time behind me. We were off running back to the safety of the hills in no time. I didn't want them to know they had brought us and the situation turn bad. I was half way up the hill when Jax slammed me against the hill behind a bush. A second later the sliding doors open and Joey, Clay, Serenity, and Hayden come  through. We stayed hidden watching them walk away from the warehouse towards the car they had drove. As soon as the sliding door shut though we were off again running towards the van parked at the park that was through the woods. I ran through the woods not paying attention to the twigs and thorns scratching at my body. I felt like I couldn't run fast enough when I heard the sound of a motorcycle in the distance letting me know I was getting close to the park. I picked up speed jumping over broken limbs as I ran. I came to a stop as we broke through the forest to where the park was. I looked around until I spotted Joey's car and I took off towards it. "Mom," Serenity yelled as soon as she saw me. She took off running towards me and as soon as I reached her I scooped her up into my arms. I continued forward holding her as I walked to where Joey was holding Hayden. As I reached my son I couldn't contain the tears anymore. I started crying with joy as I took Hayden into my arms. "Did they hurt you," I ask Serenity while I kiss her cheek. "No they were nice," she says reaching for Jax as he reaches us. "Nothing like this will happen to either of you again darling," Jax tells Serenity as he holds her tight to him. "Let's get going," Clay yells out. "I'm going ride back with Joey so I can stay with the kids," I tell Jax knowing I couldn't leave them yet. "Of course babe," Jax says and walks forward and kisses my cheek. I climb into the passenger seat as I look back at my kids safely back with us. Joey squeezes my hand before he speeds out of the parking lot. At the moment it felt like it use to be with him but things were so different now. I still took comfort being in the car with this man. He had protected me for many years.

We pulled up to the club and I watched as Joey and Sarah pulled up behind us but behind her was a huge truck and a SUV that looked like it could take on a tank. "What's all this," I ask walking up to Sarah. "That is very illegal car parts, illegal custom kits, and illegally bought guns," she says pointing to the big delivery truck, "I suggest closing up shop for the day." "Close it up boys," I yell pointing at the prospects. "So what's this," I ask Sarah pointing to the SUV. "This is the tank," she says with a grin before jumping in the drivers door. Before I knew it the passenger door was opening but it wasn't like anything I had seen. The door slid open with a platform coming out but on the front of the platform was a big steel plate with a machine gun sticking out the front. "Holy fuck," Tig says joining us to stare at the SUV. "So who drives it," I ask Sarah. "Doesn't matter who drives it what really matters is who is behind this bad boy," she said patting the machine gun," but you drive." "Why," I ask her wondering why she chose me to be behind this tank. "You can't do anything to the tires," she says when she pulls a knife out and tries to stab the tire with no luck. It sounded like she had just tried to stab a brick wall not a tire. "Plus it's made heavier so it won't flip," she tells me. I knew that tonight was going be bloody but as I watched the delivery truck unload all the wood crates I knew carried guns I realized just how bloody it could get. The garage was full of Joey's crew starting to begin working on their cars. I knew tonight it would end this once and for all. That's when I knew Sarah had to be the one behind the machine gun because it was protected from bullets and mostly anything. Though if she did this she would be killing many but she would be safe. I decided that her safety was more important and that in the end we could heal from tonight together.
