GABI
I could tell by his snoring that he was still fast asleep; even through the door the rumbling noise was abundant. It oddly soothed me, this unintentional noise of his, it temporarily brisked me away to time I wish I could have. A time I could be resting comfortably by his side and maybe even feeling annoyed at the noise, but for now it was almost literally music to my ears.
Though he was obviously resting comfortably, I gently turned his bedroom door's handle and quietly let myself inside, knowing this minor disturbance would not wake him.
I couldn't help but look to him as I entered. I couldn't help but to admire how incredibly peaceful he looked lying under his satin covers, well mostly under them. Even from the doorway I could see his grey boxer shorts peeking out from behind the down comforter, and that made the temporary vison become all the more real.
I make myself look away as I set the tray of toast, OJ, and one waffle, with syrup on the side, on his bed side table. Even though I was very, very tempted to take a second glance at his sculpted body I had to stop myself. Knowing what time it was I had to decided against it.
His alarm would go off in exactly two minutes, and I wouldn't want him to wake with his chef staring down at him.
Heading down the stairs and into the kitchen I could feel a grin forming on my lips.
"What you smilin' about?" Yolanda says from the couch folding a pair of Josh's pants, then placing them in a pile of nearly identical pairs.
"Oh nothing." I barely cover with a smile. "Just giving Josh his breakfast."
"You know he used to sleep in the nude." She says not looking up at me.
I feel my cheeks go red as I start rinsing the dirty dishes in the sink.
"Oh?" I ask trying to sound nonchalant.
"Yeah, I walked in on him one too many times. Guess he doesn't need the help, helping themselves."
"Yea."
"That then Elliot started working and you know how he is."
I do infact know how he is. Elliot is Elliot..., Outspoken, flirtatious, always towards Josh,a and for the longest time he thought he could convince Josh to switch teams, well until he found a man of his own.
I start scrubbing the waffle maker, then move on to wiping down the counter tops but not before noticing that Yolanda had stopped folding the clothes and turned to her phone for entertainment. She catches me looking.
"Oh girl you know how it is. You can't work too hard otherwise he will start expectin things."
I see the laundry basket and half of the clothes were still in a pile, unfolded.
I feel different then her I guess. I always cook the best I can for Josh. Call it a crush, call it being a good employee, call it whatever you like because if theres one thing I'm good at it's cooking.
After almost finishing up the dishes I hear him moving down the steps, only he hums to himself.
"Gabi breakfast was great." I hear him say still making his way across the living room.
"No problem Josh." I say with a smile. Just more dishes to do.
"Anything you want for lunch. " I ask as he starts making his way to his office.
"Surprise me." He says looking over his shoulder. I could have sworn he winked at me bit I couldn't be sure.

The day passed by quickly. Chicken was cooking in the crocpot and the lasagna for lunch was close to being done in the oven. I could hear Elliot on the phone, presumably in his office, making calls for Josh's appearence at a Tech event next month. I had almost forgotten about that.
He had said he was nervous about it, which is a rare occurrence for him. He said he wasn't sure if the tech would be ready by then, but that if it was it would be a huge success. I have never been into that tech stuff but I sure do love the internet.
I see the golden brown cheese adorning the top of my homecooked Lasagna and I know it's finally ready to be taken out. I let it settle on the counter top before scooping a decent sized portion on his plate, taking great care to fancy it up a bit. I don't really know how much he actually notices the subtle difference but I sure hope he does.
