GABI

I feel completely out of breath and now my muscles and head hurt more than ever. It will be ok. It will be ok. Someone will find me. I kept that string of thoughts repeating in my mind leaning on every word for hope.

I decided to unwrap the sweatshirt from my head as now it has become a burden to see, and I notice the blood almost instantly.

There wasn't a lot and by now it had dried into it but seeing that really made everything sink in. I could have died. I could have been gone. There could have been no today, or whatever day it is. But I am here, and for the most part I am okay.

Then my stomach started to turn and twist aching for food. Based on my incredible pain from hunger it had been at least a day that I was passed out in the drivers seat.

Seeing that there was very little glass in the back seat, compared to the front that was a complete disaster, I decided to make myself comfortable. I set the box on the passengers side door but not before grabbing a granola bar and the wrap of bandages.

I wanted more than one bar, but not knowing how long I will be here I wouldn't want to eat too many of them.

I took small nibbles off the end thoroughly enjoying its taste, more than anything I had ever tasted before.

In the blink of an eye it was gone, all that was left was the simple wrapper resting in my palm.

Breathe.... just... breathe.. I will be out of here soon and back at home with Sophia. Everything will work out.

The Tylenol wasn't helping at all but maybe some rest would. So I slowly, achingly grab the blanket, wrap it around my entire body, make a makeshift pillow out of my dress, and within two minutes I was fast asleep.
