"I'm right here Gabi. I'm right here." I say as I continue to hold her ice cold fingers between mine. "Just please wake up."
"Sir we need you to back away. We need to check her head." A woman sitting beside me in an Emt uniform says to me.
"Is she going to be ok?" I ask not letting go of her soft, almost frozen fingers.
"Sir the only thing I can tell you is I've never seen someone fight as hard as she as. She clearly has a broken leg, a gash on her head, and she may also have a broken rib. If she was able to make that fire and do everything she did down there..." she says continuing to monitor Gabi's heart.
"She's a fighter." I whisper through tears. "She will make it."
COOPER
By now they have found her and are bringing her to the hospital, if she's even still alive.
Not 10 minutes after I hit her I checked to make sure she was breathing. Thankfully, and according to the plan, she was, but I couldn't rescue her right then. I needed to wait at least a few days otherwise she wouldn't even appriciate what I did for her.
What I didn't know was that Josh would have access to a frickin helicopter. I was supposed to be the HERO!
I WAS SUPPOSED TO FIND GABI!
Now instead I'm stuck with an unconscious Sophia and no back up plan whatsoever.
