GABI
Insurmountable pain rushed through my veins. My head ached to no end, leaving me physically paralyzed outside the cars door. I forced myself to lift my eyelids almost instantly regretting it. I peered through shallow creases until I saw my sweatshirt laying below the passenger seat. I then proceeded to wrap in around my head to cease the bleeding, and maybe the headache too.
As I was tying it around my head, fashining the tightest of knots, I remembered the medication in my glove box.
I half wobbled onto the seat and reached for the box, still securely shut even through the crash. At first it wouldn't budge but then pure rage took over.
I yanked the handle so hard it flew off and sent me flying back against the seat. Luckily as the handle came off it finally, graciously opened for me revealing a multitude of helpful objects.
JOSH
I hear my phone ringing in my pocket and immediatly answer it's call.
"Josh it's me, Yolanda."
"Yeah, I know. Is there anything new?" I ask growing more impatient with each word.
"Elliot's been scanning the area but, no luck. The good news is you're not far from the police station."
"Yolanda I don't need.."
"Josh!," She interrupts. "This is not about you, this is about her! We need to do all we can to find her! I know how you feel about the police but we can't hold off meeting with them any longer!" She shouts so loudly I had to move the phone away from my ear.
I could tell Sophia could hear Yolanda's every word as she looked at me with more tears continuing to drift down her cheeks.
"Yolanda we are heading there now. Tell them we are on our way." Then I hang up the phone and again look to Sophia.
"We will find her. We have to find her." She says again reaching in for a hug. I obliged and held her in my arms.
Then I noticed that familiar sweet berry smell. She smelt like Gabi. Was it on purpose? Was it because they lived together?
I held her for a little while longer needing to inhale the scent for just a few more seconds.
Gabi we need you back. We both do.
