Young and Missing 4

JOSH

"What time will it be ready?" I ask him, already standing from my chair.

"They said it will take awhile to organize everything, but that it should be ready as soon as tomorrow morning." Elliot says reading the information from the tablet.

"I found her on a gas station camera about," I check my wrist watch. " About 14 hours ago."

"We narrowed the search area down quite a bit actually." Sophia says wiping away a stray tear from her eye.

"Did you see this?" Yolanda says with her eyes glued intentally to her phone.

"Yolanda, if it has anything to deal with that stupid.."

"No, Josh.. Look.." She says turning her phone so I can get a better view of what she was looking at.

"It rained." I say walking out of the room, leaving them behind me.

"Josh, whats going on?" Elliot asks surprising me half chasing me into the hallway, followed by everyone else. Not once has he shown an interest in Gabi's welfare.

"Her car, it really is a piece of crap. Had I just given her the car everything would be fine." I say grabbing a water from the fridge, and pacing, attempting to calm myself down. "I bought her a car last october, but I never got around to giving it to her. With everything that went on with my "wedding" and Cooper I didn't think giving her a car would be appropriate...All of this is my fault."

Sophia walks over to me and before I could stop her, she was wrapping her arms around me.

"Josh, none of this is your fault. You didn't know this would happen. We are doing all we can to find her." She says after taking a few steps back.

"Hopefully they will be able to help tomorrow." I say following my words with a large swig of the water, again trying to shield my tears.

"What is it you are going to do tomorrow?" Yolanda asks as she starts wiping down the counter tops. I had seen this from her before, when she is stressed she actually cleans, odd.

"He rented a helicopter. Told the pilot who he was and what he wanted it for and bam he got a helicopter." Elliot says literally snapping his fingers mid-sentence. I really hope this whole Elliot hates Gabi thing is just a front because I'm not sure if I could pick one or the other. I try to snap that thought out of my mind, as right now wasn't exactly the right time to focus on that.

"Josh, should we send out a report?" Sophia asks taking a bottle of water herself, her eyes now stark red.

"Report?" I ask.

"You know..." She says her voice now shaking. "A missing persons..."

"Oh. I hadn't even thought about that." I say starting to tear up myself.

"It's just maybe someone will see her and tell us and.. " She says trailing off and proceeding to cry even harder than earlier.

Yolanda sets the dish rag down and proceeds to wrap her arms around Sophia, letting her cry it out.
