GABI
"What did you want to drink Gabs, it's an open bar, you can have whatever you would like." He says when we finally weave our way through the hundred or so people most of which were well on their way to being intoxicated.
"Surprise me." I say with a smile, mimicing what he often says to me.
He flashes a large grin, then walks up to the bar. I stand several feet behind him so as not to have to deal with the 20 or so other people trying to order drinks.
I take this time to really take in the specticle that is Julie's wedding. Ribbons were adorning every physical surface in long bright pink strands. I'm all for color but this is a bit much.
White embrodiered table cloths wrap around every table holding expensive dinnerware that I know costs more than I make in a year!
Josh mentioned that over 200 HUNDRED people were invited and apparently several dozen couldn't come.
I don't even know two dozen people that I would want to invite to my wedding, not that it's a thought that crossed my mind all that often. Heck I'm 23, and on a date, thats not really a date, even though I want it to be a date, with someone thats 35!
Age has never really mattered to me but it's hard not to notice the significant difference in our ages. Even though we are both single, or at least for right now we are, I feel like at times I am more mature than he is.
Well maybe mature isn't the word, I guess impulsive better suits his description.
He doesn't always think his actions through. I have caught him in bed with other women more than a few times, and that's fine I guess, but it was always after something emotionally draining happened to him. I know, or at least I think I know, he wants something serious but how do I know he won't just sleep with someone else if we have a fight, like he did with Caroline, with me.
I flash him a smile and a nod, when I see him holding up his finger indicating to wait just one more minute.
I know I have a tendency to over think things, so I instead wisk those thoughts away and try my best to focus on something else.

"They didn't have sprite, 7 up ok?" He asks handing me over the clear glass of liquor with ice bobbing at the top.
"Yeah." I say after taking a sip. Sprite and Vodka, a favorite drink choice of mine.
"They put a lot of liquor in there, be careful." He warns as he takes a sip of his red wine.
I could tell it was strong but not by the taste, the nice stuff never stings, but by the effect that one little sip had on me.
"I'll make sure to be on my best behavior." I say playfully sticking out my tongue.
We decide to take a seat at an empty table near the dance floor, us both sipping on our drinks gingerly.
"So Gabs what would you like to do?"
