Tess's POV

As soon as I walked out of the shower, a draught of cool air hit my skin, causing goosebumps to surface. A melodious beeping sound came from my phone, which was sitting on the foot of the bed. I picked it up to see what it was. After pressing the circular home button at the bottom of the phone, the screen lit up to reveal Luke's name. Unconsciously, I tapped on the message to view it.

From: Luke :)

i'm outside your house. well i think i am. :/

I rush of panic attacked my body, I wasn't wearing anything but a towel. "Damn it!" I groaned. I briskly brushed my hair and threw on a woolly jumper and leggings. I rushed down the stairs and grabbed my Sponge Bob slippers and headed towards the front door.

As soon as I opened it, I found Luke sitting on the old stairs just in front of the door; his back facing me. He turned around at the sound of the door unlocking and gave me a smile before standing up and embracing me in a warm hug.

"Sponge Bob?" He looked at my childish slippers before letting out captivating chuckle. Blushing would have been no problem, but what I did was go as red as a beetroot and radiate heat like a hot pan. You could have cooked a three course meal on my face.

"Um-" I mumbled, keeping my gaze away from his eyes.

"I like it," he cut me off. He looked me in the eyes and waited for me to let him in. I moved out of the door way and let him in. He gave me a breathy "Thanks,"

We settled in my room, and worked on a few maths questions and had a few Haribo packets. "There's this question about the volume of a shape. Is this how you work i t out?" I asked. I turned over the page of my soft-touch notebook before writing out the formula I thought was for working out Pythagoras.

I was finishing of the formula before Luke started laughing. "What?" I asked, completely confused. Luke starting clutching onto his stomach at the same time as laughing and pointing tot the formula I had just written.

After a good two minutes, he calmed down and tried to keep in the laughter. "You spelt length wrong. You wrote 'l' 'e' 'g' 'n' 't' 'h'. It's spelt," he grabbed the pencil from my hand and corrected my spelling mistake.

"Oh," I knew I was blushing like a tomato. I could feel the heat rush from the tip of my toes, to the top of my head.  "Well, this is maths, not English. And I'm tired now." I closed the thick maths booklet and let my head roll back to release the stress.

"Same," he replied. I wanted him to stay longer but I couldn't keep him trapped in this hole of hell.

"So..." he awkwardly rubbed his hand together then played around with his fingers. I got up from my bed and picked up my work from the floor and pretended I was busy. "I guess I'll see you later then," he said as he broke the silence. "Yup," He walked up to me and gave me a tender hug. His face nuzzled in my neck.

Unexpectedly, he left a sweet kiss under my ear, on my neck. Warmth radiates from the spot where his lips just touch my neck, slowly spreading through the rest of me. He detached his body from mine before giving me a goodbye wave and heading downstairs.

As soon as I heard the front door locked, I noticed one of Luke's Green Day wrist bands, that he was playing with before, lying on the floor.

He must have left it there.

I rushed downstairs and unlocked the front door to reveal Luke stuffing his phone in his pocket. He looked in my direction and tilted his head to the side before giving me a confused look. "Uh, you left this." I handed him the wristband before earning a faint "Thanks." from him.

He gave me soft kiss on my cheek and walked away from the front yard. I closed the door and headed upstairs and started watching random episodes of Adventure Time.

Luke's POV

"Yeah, I think she likes me!" I murmured into the phone. I was talking to Tyler, who wanted me to come to his house to play XBOX instead of hanging out with Tess.

Tyler laughed in return.

"Yeah." I mumbled into the phone.

I heard Tess's door unlock. Frantically I stuffed my phone into my pocket.

"Uh, you left this." She handed me my Green Day wristband. I gave her a quick kiss on her cheek and pulled away quickly. I mumbled a "Thanks" before walking away and retrieving my phone and pressing it to my ear.

"Dude where you gone?!" Tyler yelled into the phone. I laughed at his reaction.
"Don't worry, mate. I'm right here."
