[22] Who's 'that'?

Josh's POV

"Death machine. Is that the best you could come up with?
And my baby is not a killing machine. It is a path to heaven. Now stop being a pussy and come with me. You are going to ride on that bike, to my house, with me. Now."

She gave me her "death glares" that weren't a small bit threatening.

"Now." I repeated. I turned around and walked towards my bike, with my chin in the air and a smirk on my face.

"Ugh!" She groaned and tilted her head backwards and looked into the clear sky.

When I reached my bike, I turned around to see if Tess was coming. She wasn't. She was no where to be seen.

I walled back into the hospital and frantically searched for her. I shouldn't have left her alone like last night. Damn it!
"Tess!" I yelled to try grab her attention, wherever she was.

"Josh!" As soon add I heard Tess's voice, the tensed muscles in my body instantly loosened. I ran up towards her in car she was hurt. She was completely fine?

"Hey. Tess. Where did. You go." I was out of breath from running around the hospital to find her.
"Oh yeah. I don't know if you've meet him but, this is Luke. He's the one who crashed into me last night. He came here to check if I was okay. And I kinda bumped into him,"

This "Luke" guy put out his hand for me to shake, which I did and gave him a small nod. "Hi, I'm Josh. Tess's friend."

"Nice to meet you Josh." He replied, while showing of his dimples.

"So, Luke, you still go to school?" Tess asked.

Why is she asking a stranger if he goes to school? What is wrong with this woman?

"Um, I just enrolled to the Rose College of New Orleans. Just moved here from Atlanta. What about you?" he asked

"Hey, I go there too. Both me and Josh," Tess ecstatically spoke.

"Sweet. Anyways I gotta go. I guess I'll see you guys at school then,"

"Bye," Tess yelled after he left.

I instantly pulled her by her arm so she would face me. "What was that? He was a stranger. You'd never know what he could do. He-"

She put her hand on my mouth before saying, "He seemed like a nice guy, and I want to make new friends." I attempted to bite her hand, making her swift away and me groan.

"Have I ever mentioned how adorably tiny your hands are?" he admits.

"No, and you shouldn't either," She folded her arms and put on a grumpy face.

"It's not a bad thing," I slid my hand onto hers and started intertwining her fingers with mine. I could feel the sudden explosion of heat spread through her body.

"Anyways, let's go to my house so we can eat!" I yelled out loud causing her to put her hand over my mouth again. Which made me attempt to bite her palm again. But like before, smart Tessa is too quick for me.

She pulled her hand away and walked in front of me. I quietly followed behind. Once in a while, I would pull a strands of her hair, making her yelp and jump, or I'd just randomly stop walking and make her shout out me and tell me to get my ass moving.

This was going to be one heck of a journey home.
