Tess's POV
Oh no
"Come on then," she dragged me towards the girls' toilets although I was pulling away.
"I have somewhere to go," I quietly mumbled to Chloe with the ounce of confidence I had in me.
"What was that? I thought I heard something," Chloe's toned changed to sarcastic and that's when I knew that she hadn't changed- at all.
As soon as we entered the toilets, a whiff of strong perfume entered my nose causing me to crinkle my nose to try and block my it out.
I stumbled and almost tripped over since I was being forced to go somewhere I didn't want to.
"So long time no see, eh?" Chloe broke the silence. A smirk was plastered on her face and I knew exactly that this wasn't going to be good.
She pushed me towards the corner of the sink and let go of my arm forcefully.
A menacing grin spread across her face and she took small steps closer to me.
"Tessie, how would you like a makeover? I can help you? You could use some help, don't you think?" She interrogated me with the questions making me even more nervous.
No, no, no. What is she planning at?
"I..I need to go" I finally spoke up.
"No you don't," Chloe replied instantly- hate twisted inside her tone. The other two girls with Chloe gripped their hands on my upper arm; their long, fake nails digging into my skin.
The pain strike through my body like lightning. Seconds later, my who body was wet- covered in some sort of reeking liquid.
I wasn't sure what it was but I was happy that it wasn't worse than that. Or that's what I thought.
Chloe immediately noticed the sign on relief on my face and said "That's not it, darling," before throwing flour all over my hair; making it turn white and powdery.
I quickly took action and ran out of the toilets, soon to realise hot teardrops rolling down my cheeks.
I ran though the corridor as fast as I could to get away from the mess.
People fell to the floor from laughter, all pointing and staring at me; saying things to me like "you're beautiful, flour head" or "I love your hair".
I was crying like a baby but I couldn't stop. I was really hoping college could be something but I'm guessing not because I'm different in a bad way.
I almost fell to the floor when I bumped into something hard. I looked up to see Josh stood in front of me, looked at me with a confused, as well as worried, expression on his face.
I continued crying, not caring about anyone around me. I stepped out of Josh's way - not wanting to talk to anyone at the moment - but before I could get anywhere, he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the corridor, into an empty classroom.
What's he doing?
"What happened?" he decided to break the longing silence.
I didn't say anything except stand there and sob quietly.
He placed both his arms on mine caressing them gently to calm me down.
"I...Chloe...toilets," I managed to say a few words, not even making a sentence. I needed to talk to someone.
But I can't trust anybody. Not here at college, not at home.
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't worry. It's okay. I should've known it was Chloe," Josh brought me into a calming hug and pulled away to say "Let's go get you cleaned up,"
I nodded and followed him out the door and into the head's office.
He explained what had happened and gave permission for me to go home and rest.
At least the principle was nice to me unlike in my last school. I gave Josh a thankful smile, and left.
I was given stares from the town's people because of how I looked but I didn't pay much attention.
As I reached the doorstep of my house, I felt a feeling of ease run through my body.
Finally. Peace.
