What he had said wasn't entirely true; he couldn't read people's thoughts. But he could decipher their emotions, and he knew Ingrid was in trouble.

It was quite obvious to him really. Ingrid didn't want to have anything to do with him, so Vlad knew that he was some how involved with whatever was going on.

He didn't want to confront her, he was worried that doing so might push her over the edge. But being her brother, he had to do something. And if he was involved, it was his business.

Vlad sat down next to his father who was eagerly inhaling the 1678 Countess Blood. "Dad, something's up with Ingrid," he said, concerned, "And I'm almost certain that we're part of it.

The Count looked up at his son, "Well we must find out what it is and help her!"

Vlad's father was about to stand up, but Vlad pulled him down again, "We can't interfere, not yet. She doesn't know that I'm suspicious, we need to go about this gently or it may change her actions."

Vlad knew that his dad cared a lot about Ingrid since she'd helped rid the household of the shapeshifter. He wasn't sure he could be trusted with this news, but Ingrid was his daughter, he had a right to know.

"Ok. But find out what it is, Vladdy," The Count said, then he rejoined the love of his life; blood.

Vlad stared at the ground beneath him, he dearly hoped that Ingrid hadn't returned to her old ways. Her cravings for power, for trying to get him staked.
