Erin still couldn't fully believe that her baby son had bitten a breather. He was that powerful.

The little four year old girl had been laying down under a tree in the park, sleeping. Erin assumed the girl was homeless, as there were no adults looking after her and her clothes hadn't been washed recently.

Artur had sped over to the girl when Erin and Vlad were rummaging through the ruin of the townhouse. Vlad had had to put a force field around the ruin so the breathers wouldn't notice.

Artur bit the girl's neck, although he didn't get time to drain her because Erin had noticed what was happening and stopped him.

The little girl, her name was Nancy, was now a half fang. And Erin felt responsible for looking after her.

Erin had refused to leave Nancy when Vlad wanted her to go with him. So now she was sitting in an alleyway, a small bag of items on one side of her and Nancy glumly crouched on her other side. Erin held onto Artur who was on her lap. She waited for Vlad.

"I'm really fed up of all these problems!" Will complained, he was sitting on the couch talking to Vlad, "I wish I could have a normal vampiric life."

"I know what you mean. But for vampires, chaos is completely normal," Vlad looked around, "Is Ingrid ok?"

"Yeh," Will answered, "She's resting. Had a fight with her reflection; almost choked me to dust."

"Her reflection! She merged years ago, how could it come back?"

"Side effect of the baby, I think."

"Baby?" Vlad was very surprised, he hadn't been told, "My sister is pregnant?"

"Oh..." Will was slightly embarrassed, people were finding out their secrets in all the right ways, "You didn't know, did you?"

"Nope," Vlad was so surprised, all he could say about it was, "Wow."

Ingrid walked into the room, slightly faint, but fine all the same, "You were talking about me?"

"Congrats, Ingrid," Vlad did his best to smile.

"Thanks," she sat down next to Will.

Will wrapped his arm around her and looked back to Vlad, "What about your dad? He doesn't know about any of this."

"No, I spent five minutes there before, he's ready if he needs to be."

--------------------------

"What will happen to me?" Nancy asked, her eyes were red and puffy.

Erin sighed, with everything going on she didn't need a scared young girl to worry about, "You'll be fine. You see me? I was bitten, like you and I'm perfectly alright."

Nancy was young but not stupid, "If you're per-fact-lee," she tried to form the word, "...fine, then why are we sitting in an alley?"

Artur grabbed Nancy's hair and she smacked his hand.

"Hey!" Erin scolded her.

"I don't like him," the young girl grumbled, "He made me a vampire and now he thinks he can pull my hair."

"He's just a baby, he doesn't understand. So leave him alone or I'll leave /you/ alone in this alley!"

Nancy folded her arms and stared into the distance.

Peace and quiet, Erin thought. She let Artur play with her fingers as she leant her head on the wall to try and rest.

Then she screamed.

"Ahh," the leading slayer grinned, "The vampire queen, at last we meet."
