Vlad woke the next evening, he'd slid into the garlic soaked wall while sleeping and his back was now red and swollen.

"Pst! Will!" He shouted softly, he had a plan to get out of there, but he needed Will's help.

Will came up to the window with rings under his eyes, "What is it?" He saw Vlad rubbing his back, "You touched the wall, didnt you. No vampire powers for a day, mister."

"No, I've got a plan," He tried to use vampire speed to get to the window but when he did so, his back felt like it was cracking in two.

"See? It happened to me, you have to rest for about a day," Will said sympathetically.

"Great..." Vlad sighed, "Well the plan will have to wait then."

Will was about to open his mouth when he quickly sped over to his cell door.

Vlad watched him in confusion, "What do you sense?" Because he knew Will had sensed something.

"Shh... it's important. The feeling's strong, like its pulling me in," Will bared his fangs and pushed himself harder against the door.

"Careful! Don't give yourself a splinter," Vlad also began to sense a vampire, "A vampire."

Will held up his finger at Vlad. Vlad thought he meant to be quiet, but then his senses took over and he realised that Will was making an 'I' for Ingrid.

Vlad felt worry engulfing his body, what had they done to his sister? He saw Will struggling to hold his emotions and realised that her old boyfriend must be feeling ten times worse.

"I'm sure she's fine," Vlad tried to comfort him.

"Shh, she's getting closer," Will said, agitated, clawing at the door. He then sped over to the small window as Vlad's cell door opened.

Ingrid's frail body was thrown next to Vlad, he ran to her aid.

"She's not breathing!" Vlad shouted, but then realised she was a vampire.

"I'm coming in!" Will began to turn to smoke.

Vlad turned Ingrid onto her back and saw what Will was doing, "It's coated in garlic!"

"I'll dodge it, there's some gaps," and dodge it he did, the smoke stopped next to the siblings and turned back into Will.

"Her arms are badly cut," Vlad said, assessing her, "She would have passed out from the pain, but she'll wake up."

Will wasn't listening, he scooped Ingrid into his lap and kissed her forehead. She didn't wake.

"Ingrid, it's me... wake up, please," Will began to cry. Part from the happiness that he had her again, but also from seeing her in this terrible state.

Vlad left the couple and sat to a side, facing the wall. He was in deep thought.

"Ingrid..." This time will kissed her lips, and just for a moment he could swear she blinked.

He laughed slightly and a smile engulfed Ingrid's face, her eyes opened.

"Will," she said, "I love you."

He stroked her hair, "I love you too."

Ingrid tried to sit up but her arms wouldn't support her. She grimaced from the pain.

"Just lay down, you'll be alright," Will whispered, "I've got you."

Ingrid grinned, his voice touching her heart.

She turned her head and saw Vlad in the corner, "Im sorry I didn't tell you about this," she said to her brother.

Vlad's head moved slightly, he couldn't be interrupted from his thoughts.

But Ingrid he understood and forgave her.

She turned back to Will, "We'll get out of this, I know it."

"Well I'm glad you've come to your senses," they shared a smile.

Even in these circumstances, this was one moment that neither Will or Ingrid wanted to end.

But of course it had to, when Vlad let out a terribly loud hiss.

"Dad!" He yelled, loud enough for the guards to hear, but they didn't come, "He's not answering, I can't contact him properly, it's as if he doesn't exist!"
