Ingrid and Will sped out of the townhouse with their bags.

Ingrid was delighted, things were finally going her way for once.

She turned her head and smiled at Will, he returned the smile.

They crashed open the front door and stood in the hallway of their new home.

Will walked into the kitchen, he was going to cook Ingrid dinner, but he was thrown back against the wall.

Ingrid came running in, she fell down at his side. There was a large cut running down the side of his face.

"Will..." she whispered, startled.

She started to cry.

"Will! You brain dead monkey!" If he was still undead, he would have to reply. But he didn't.

She curled up next to him, burying her face in his chest, "Whoever did this.. I know you're here. I'll torture you," she said violently.

That's when she suddenly clutched her heart, she felt it beating. She breathed heavily, gasping for air. When it died down, she felt her cheek, hoping it wasn't true. But her check was warm.

A heartbeat, warmth. She was becoming a breather.

She looked up at Will's face, blood was beginning to trickle down the cut, and soon after she felt his heart also begin to thump.

"No..." She mumbled, tears still streaming down her cheeks, "This isn't happening."

Ingrid was forced away from Will as his eyes opened and he began trying to get air. She took his hand and rubbed his back.

The attack stopped, he looked at her, eyes wide, "I haven't felt like this since I was a breather."

"I know..." She whispered, "I feel the same."

He noticed how upset his fiancée was and he grabbed her, embracing her in a hug.

Ingrid's number one fear had been confirmed, the blood mirror had been destroyed.

But how? Could the vampires at Garside have done it? Surely they couldn't have gotten past the guards. But it didn't matter how, it was done.

But what about the others? Vlad, Erin. What about her dad?

Ingrid felt nauseous as she realised that The Count would be dust. It took all her power not to throw up.

"Are we really breathers, now?" Will broke the silence, stroking Ingrid's hair.

"Yes," she sped off to the bathroom to vomit. It didn't make her feel any better though, her dad was gone, and she no longer had an eternity with Will.

Will left her there for ten minutes as he tried to get his head around it all.

A breather again? It would be hard to readjust. And what about the older Draculas? They would either be bones or dust. He felt for Ingrid, he couldn't imagine how she must have been feeling at that moment.

He opened the door, she had fallen asleep by the sink. The water was still running.

He turned off the tap, it reminded him of blood. He touched his head, the bleeding had stopped, but that would scar.

Will gently picked up Ingrid, placing her on the bed.

Then he sped to the front door. He went into the speeding position, so he could check on Vlad and Erin. But he couldn't speed, he was a breather, that meant no vampire powers.

He slumped into the bed, realising just how tired breathers got, and went to sleep.

-------------------------------

As soon as he'd felt his heart beat,Vlad knew what had happened. The blood mirror had been smashed.

It must have affected Erin more though, because she had been thrown back, but now she was sitting up cradling Artur.

Artur, he wasn't a vampire either anymore. None of the Draculas were. He tried not to think about what that meant for his dad,

Vlad looked at Erin, perhaps for reassurance, he didn't know how he felt. Sad, angry, glad?

"I'm alright," she smiled, "We're all going to be fine," Erin infact was very happy. She had never really liked being a vampire. And now she was back to normal.

"What about Artur?" Vlad was concerned for his son, "He will be wondering why he can't change, and we can't explain to him why."

"Just ask happy," Erin said, "And he'll be happy."

But Vlad didn't really know how to be happy, not after what had just happened.
