Vlad sped into the room, "Is everyone ok?!"

"Artur has fangs!" Erin shouted, worried.

Wolfie moved aside so Vlad could grab his son, he examined the two baby fangs.

"He does..." Vlad was very surprised, "Umm, maybe dad knows something. Stay here."

"But-" Erin wanted to come.

"Play with Wolfie," Vlad sped out of the room with Artur and into the study. He didnt want Erin to have another reason to be upset, if there was something wrong, he would hide it from her.

"Wonderful!" The Count shouted happily, holding his grandson, "He's so powerful that he can switch between vampire and breather."

"What? You mean he can whichever he likes, whenever?" Vlad asked.

"Exactly! This has only happened twice in vampire history, and both went on to be great kings!"

Vlad wasn't as happy as his father, he wanted the baby to have a normal child life, "Can it be controlled?"

"Well of course Artur can control it! He's might be even more powerful than you one day, best get on his good side," The Count said, grinning.

"No I mean can /we/ control it? Take away his ability to be a vampire, just let him be a breather?"

"We'll that would be like taking fangs from a vampire, they wouldn't want to live."

"But it would be his normal lifestyle, please, is there a way?"

The Count laughed, "Not scientifically, but whenever he turns vamp, just scold him. Normal parenting, Vladdy."

"Oh," he took Artur and sped back to the bedroom, Erin needed to know this.

"Has the doctor given his verdict?" Erin said sarcastically.

Vlad sat on the bed, "Artur is really, really powerful. He can choose to switch between vampire and breather," Vlad noticed Artur's fangs had disappeared, "But we can teach him to be breather only."

"We'll until he understands 'teaching' what do we do with him?" Erin asked, concerned.

"Never feed him garlic, obviously. Check for fangs before he goes outside and plays with other children, that's really all we can do."

"Alright then," Erin said and Artur yawned, "Give him to me."

She cradled her baby and then put him in the crib.

The Count sped in, "I have found a perfect castle! About ten minutes speeding from where Garside is."

"That's good," Vlad said.

"I'm going to get over there before the sun rises, anyone want to come?"

"Not really," Erin told the truth.

"I better stay with Artur," Vlad replied.

"I'll come, Uncle Count!" Wolfie said, already walking to the door.

The Count followed, waving goodbye.

"Where's Ingrid and Will?" Erin asked.

"They went for a walk, earlier."

"It's been what, four hours? Hope they didn't get staked."

"Nah, probably just want time alone. It's been pretty crowded."

"I can second that," Erin sighed, "Even Malik was better company than all of you."

"Hey!"

"Kidding!"
