Abbey's POV
A month has passed since that car hit Selena. A month has passed since I lost my nephew. A month has passed since I got engaged. Selena likes to come and take care of the kids with me. I guess some how it helps her heel. I'm not sure. Liz is staying with us for another few days. This weekend Luke and I are going away for two nights.
I looked at the engagement ring on my finger and a small smile came to my face. "Luke!" I yelled from the closet
He ran in and wrapped his arms around me "Yes?"
"Did you put the clothes on the kids?"
"You mean the adorable dress and tux?" He smiled
"Yes" I nodded grabbing the white dress and then a few other outfits to put in the weekend bag
"I did and they look adorable. And if you want this to be a secret we need to go because my mum will be back soon" he said and let me go so I could slip off the robe and put the dress on
"Okay let's go" I said slipping my high heels on and a long jacket over my dress so the paparazzi wouldn't see my dress I handed Luke his over coat and put the kids jackets on
The short drive felt like a very long time. We had decided to 'get it over with' because we didn't want a big wedding. We didn't want paparazzi there. We wanted our little family. That's what we want and that's what we'll get.
After about 40 minutes we were back in the car and I was legally Abbey Louise Nelson Hemmings and it felt amazing. We got home and Liz had no idea but we decided not to tell anyone we didn't care if they found out we just didn't want anyone to know right now.
"Thank you much Liz for watching them. It means a lot to us" I said hugging her
Luke hugged her and said "Thanks Mum"
I smiled at Brooklyn and Mason "Okay you guys are going to stay with Grandma for a few days. Okay?"
"Okay Mummy" Brooklyn said and hugged me while Mason hugged Luke then switched and I hugged Mason and he hugged Brooklyn
Luke and I said at the same time "We love you guys!"
We went out to the car and we both got in and I looked over at Luke and smiled and he leaned over and kissed me "Hey guess what?"
"Hmm?"
"We're married" he smiled
"I know husband" I smiled as he backed out of the driveway
After a few hours Luke pulled into a driveway of a house
"What's this?" I say looking over at him
"The honeymoon house" he smirked
We spent the next three days inside of that house and only ordered carry out for reasons you can imagine. We finally went home to see our very anxious kids. Liz decided to stay another few days because we haven't told the kids yet but Luke's going on tour and we are not. We decided it would be best if we didn't go with him. The kids are too young to be touring like that. We got to our house and we both got out and were quickly greeted by the kids running out and hugging both of us when Liz spotted the engagement ring on my hand and smiled "You guys got engaged?"
I smiled at her then looked at Luke and he wrapped his arms around me and said "we got married actually"
Her mouth dropped open then she wrapped her arms around me and Luke let go of me and she said "congratulations guys I love you both very much" I hugged her back smiling and soon after we all settled down and Liz insisted on cooking us all dinner while the kids told us about what they did with Grandma.
Luke and I both knew eventually we'd have to tell the kids he was leaving for a little while and we both were avoiding the topic as best as we could. I didn't want the time to come when that stupid bus pulls up and they put his luggage in there and he gives me that look like he wants to go but he doesn't want too and I give him the same look with a little bit of don't cheat because strangely that's all I'm thinking about right now.
Last time Luke left for tour and we were together he slept with someone and it wasn't me. So this all scares me. I know we're married and I shouldn't have to worry but I do. Am I going to tell him? Hell no.
We heard the two beeps and suddenly the house was filled three loud boys yelling and chest bumping along with Allison who just stood there and watched and Selena who ran over to Brooklyn and Mason and hugged them both and then they started playing some game.
Selena's not going on tour with the boys, Allison is and I'm staying home with my kids.
Ashton walked over to me and hugged me and I quickly returned the hug and he whispered in my ear "Nice engagement ring and wedding band"
I laughed "Thank you"
"When did this happen?"
"Friday afternoon"
He smiled "Did the press find out"
I hadn't even thought about that "Uh I don't know"
He sighed "I'm warning you be prepared for the worst"
"And what would that be?"
"They'll pull story's out of thin air. I have to go tour the world now" he laughed
Michael walked over to me and hugged me "I'm gonna miss you best friend"
I laughed "I'm gonna miss you too"
"Don't hesitate to call. For anything. Doesn't matter what time it is"
"Thanks Mikey"
"Love you"
"I love you too"
He let go of me and Calum and I high fived then hugged and he said "take care of yourself girl"
"You too Hood" I laughed
Luke looked at me and quickly wrapped his arms around me tightly and held me and whispered to me "I love you so much Mrs. Hemmings"
I teared up a little "I love you too Mr. Hemmings. Be careful okay? Don't do anything stupid. And have fun"
"Trust me baby" he said and kissed my cheek then let go of me and hugged Mason and Brooklyn and explained that he had to go to work and he would be back soon
Liz gave me a side hug "don't worry honey"
I wiped a tear from under my eyes and nodded
She smiled "and if he does something stupid he'll have to answer to me"
I laughed as the boys hugged Mason and Brooklyn and Allison hugged me
"Have fun!" I laughed
"Oh I will" she winked
I laughed and shook my head and Luke walked over to me and kissed me "I promise"
