Chapter Twenty-Seven

Cassie

I was looking around the parking lot for the truck I got dropped of in earlier. I stood there searching for it awhile, until I saw the flashlights of a very expensive limousine signaling me. I guess that's him.

I walked towards the car and I heard the locks unclick. I opened the door to the door and peeked my head inside. "Oh my." I said backing away shutting the door. The passenger window raised down revealing Chris. "Come on Cassie I can't be late." He smiled.

"Do you know who's in there." I Whisper yelled. "Of course I do, what type of question is that." he rolled his eyes.

"I can't sit back there, I'm to scared." I whined. "Cassie I swear, your about to get left." he said. "I'm scared." I whined.

He looked around and then got out the limo, he opened the back door and gently pushed me forward. "Go." He mumbled pushing me again. I stepped in and sat on the very far end. he close the door. I couldn't belive the faces I was sitting across from.

"Wassup I'm August." he said. I nodded, "I-I know." I croaked. He smiled and elbowed Sevyn. As in Sevyn Streeter. "I'm Sevyn." she smiled. I nodded, "I know." They just stared at me. "What's your name ma?" August asked. "Uhh...Cassie." I said awkwardly.

"Oh my sister's name is Cassie." Sevyn smiled. I smiled back, "How old are you?" She asked. "Oh I'm 22." I replied, August smiled, "Me too." I nodded, "I know." I said then quickly covered my mouth. I probably sound like a stalker. "So what else do you know about me?" He asked, making inference on the word 'know'.

"Leave her alone August." Sevyn scolded him. "Um are you guys on the album?" I asked trying to steer away from that conversation. "No, but me and Chris dropped a single together." Sevyn said. "Yea, me and him did a collaboration with d.j khaled and some other people." August added. I almost fainted listening to his accent.

"So are you Chris' girlfriend?" Sevyn asked. I quickly shook my head. "We're just friends, I have a boyfriend." I glanced at August who seemed uninterested in the conversation anymore.

We all felt the car come to a stop and we got out, I was standing in front of this gigantic mansion. "oh my goodness." I whispered. Not only was I amazed at the house but also all the people that were here. I was snapped out of my thoughts by bright lights snapping pictures us. I turned around and saw these people taking pictures from behind the security gate.

"Chris! How do you feel about your al-!"

"Are you and Sevyn dating-"

"August look at the camera!" these people were shouting at them. "Come on." Sevyn said pulling me towards the house as they shielded there eyes. We walked inside the house to see all these people, it was really hard to get through. Chris grabbed me from Sevyn, "I want you to meet some people." he yelled above the music.

He pulled me through the crowd and we approached this blonde haired woman, he tapped her and she turned around, "Oh good, Ellis just called extra security-" "Lana this is Cassie." he cut her off. she smiled, "I've heard so much about you, I'm his assistant, Alana." she said, holding out her hand, I shook it. "Nice to meet you." I said as Chris pulled me away. I ended up meeting tons of celebrities, now I was just chilling at the bar with Sevyn. "I'll think I'll have a cotton candy Smirnoff." I told the bartender. "Me too." Sevyn added.

"Cassie can I ask you something?" Sevyn asked loud enough for me to hear. She asked the question, but I couldn't hear her, so I leaned in closer and she repeated, "What dose Chris look for in a woman." I was taken back by what she asked. The bartender placed our drinks in front of us. "Ummm." I took a sip of my drink. "He likes when your yourself." I told her. "I've liked Chris ever since I saw him and all I've been is myslef. He never notices me." she looked down. I looked up to see Chris coming towards us. "Now's your chance." I elbowed her. She fixed her hair and proceeded to ask him a question.

"Chris do you want to dan-" "Here she is." I was confused by what he said at first, until Meghan appeared from behind him. "Meghan wanted to see you." he said. Sevyn got up and walked away, I felt really bad for her. "Cassie!" Meghan squealed. She brought me into a tight hug. "Baby let's dance." Chris told her and they walked in the crowd.

Meghan, Baby?

I bopped my head to one of the songs off the album and continued to sip my Smirnoff. I was having really good time actually. "Cassie." someone said causing me to look up. "Hey August." I smiled. "Why you sitting here by yaself." he asked. I shrugged, "I'm a wallflower."

"Well how about you get your wallflower ass up and dance with me." he said taking my drink from me. "I don't dance unless I'm drunk." I said. "Bartender, I want twelve shots of the strongest shit here." he told the bartender. "What are you doing?!" I yelled over the music. "If you finish first I'll leave you alone, if not you have to dance with me." he said as the bartender filled the shot glasses with a clear liquid. I sat up straight in my chair. He put six on front of me and six in front of August. "On the count of three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

I took the first shot and my throat instantly fired up, I took the second one and the third one, but after that I couldn't anymore I looked over to see August already on his fifth one. I gagged down the fourth one and finished half on the fifth one. I looked over to see August looking down at me. he took my sixth one and drank that too.

"Come on." he said grabbing my hand, he pulled me into the crowd and those shots were already getting at me. We were dancing appropriately at first and then i started grinding against him. His hands were latched on my waist as he guided me.

I wasn't sober enough to realize I was grinding on August Alsina. I turned around and looked at him, "I'm going to finish my drink." I said, walking away from him.

"Alright can we have everyone shut the hell up for a moment." someone said over the loud speakers. The music turned off causing everyone's attention to turn to the upper floor balcony. "Chris would like to say something." He said walking away.

Chris stumbled up to the Mic, he was even more drunk than me. He grabbed the Mic and almost tripped, "Damn, I'm drunk." he mumbled but the Mic caught it causing everyone to laugh, he laughed too. "I just want to thank all y'all for coming out...FOR COMING OUT!" He busted out laughing and everyone did too. I swear he is the funniest person when he's drunk. "Nah forreal, I really appreciated yall and I want...I want to give a special thanks to my bestfriend."

Oh no.

"Where's Cassie? AYE SOMEBODY BRING HER UP HERE." He said into the Mic. I was trying to get to the back and hide, but Meghan caught me and walked me up to the balcony to Chris. He grabbed me and dropped his shoulder over mine.

"But I really want to thank her, because I wouldn't even be here without her like- she's a blessing, blessing blessing, blessing, blessing." he sang then started laughing and of course everyone did too. "No but foreal this is my baby, and I love her so much....ly'all don't even understand. But yeah I'm feeling dizzy now, so I gotta go. Enjoy the rest of the party." he said walking away tugging me along.

I wasn't sober but I wasn't drunk, Chris was drunk. "Cassie I want to show you something." He said pulling me down a dark hallway.
