Nightmares

I was walking through Knockturn Alley at the edge of night, alone and weaponless; both my wand and my knife was gone. I wasn't sure why I was there, just knew that I had to keep going forward. After a minute, I broke into a sprint. My heart started to race at some unknown fear. I just kept running and running, never stopping for anything, not even a poor, starving kitten that was bleeding out on the cobblestone.

But eventually I couldn't run anymore, because I came face to face with a huge, brick wall that was far too tall to jump or even climb. I started pounding on the rough stones, making the skin on my knuckles rip and bleed.

"No!" I called out. "No! No! No!" I began crying. "No-" Suddenly, my shoulder was grabbed by a gruff hand, and I was pulled away from the wall. The hands pulled me around, so I was facing the assaulter. It was the man from Knockturn Alley, lust sparkling in his eyes. I cringed, knowing what was to come.

He waved his wand, and I was pulled up against the wall, unable to move. Like the first time, the man ripped my shirt open and started fondling my breasts. I continued to cry, waiting for Scabior to appear, but he didn't. The evil man had full power and he knew it.

He reached for my trousers and yanked them down to my ankles. He stuck his hang into my grey boxers, feeling around; touching places that never should have been touched. Places that had never been touched at all. I let out a frightened squeal as his hands tried to venture further.

He stopped and looked at me before removing his hand and slapping my face. I started screaming, although I knew he didn't want me to. I continued to shriek and cry, not wanting my virginity to be taken away from me. I knew what the next step was! I knew that-

"Elle! Wake up! Elle?" I opened my eyes and found myself back in my bed, breathing heavy and covered in sweat. I had already wet, and could feel the cold dampness below me. Draco was beside the bed, in his pajamas. "Elle, are you okay?"

"Draco, I'm... No! I'm not okay!" I burst into tears. Usually, I would not break down like this in front of Draco, but I couldn't help it. I was too overwhelmed to control myself. "I'm tired and wet and scared!"

"Is there anything I can do?" He awkwardly shifted. Orion jumped up onto the bed, a dry pair of boxers in him mouth. He dropped them in my lap, then pranced over and licked my cheek. "Anything you would like?"

"I..." I defiantly wanted to change clothes; I was cold. I also wanted Scabior, but I couldn't have him. He was who knew where, snatching. He had been gone for a little more than a week, and this was the first time I had really yearned for him.

"I want my uncle..." I lied, getting up. Draco eyed my wet sheets judgingly, but didn't say anything. I took the dry boxers Orion had brought me to the bathroom and changed into them. When I came back out, Draco was scratching Orion's ear.

"Do you want me to take you to Snape's office?" He offered, taking his hand away from the dog. As pitiful as it was, I just nodded my head and stood for him to come to me. He walked me to the door, but I stopped us when I turned back around. "What are you going?"

"Getting Melvin." I replied, grabbing the stuffed dragon off the top of my trunk, where it had stayed since the morning after the first night I had slept with it.

"Scabior got you that?" He asked when I rejoined him at the door. I nodded as we started down the dark hallway. He used his wand to illuminate the walls. I reached for mine, but found that I had left it back in my room. Oh well, I didn't need it, anyway.

"Yeah. He got it for me."

"...Must have been a bad nightmare."

"Yeah."

"Still about your father?"

"No." I kept my answers short.

"Oh, then-"

"Shut up, Draco."

"Okay, sorry. I was just wondering."

"We'll, stop wondering. It's none of your business."

"You know, I don't have to take you here? I can just turn around and go back to bed. I'm just trying to be nice. Maybe you should try it, too."

"Maybe you should just go back then." I stopped to look at him, but I didn't stop clutching Melvin. I could feel fear deep in my eyes, but tried to blink it away. Truthfully, I didn't want him to leave. I didn't want to be alone, even if I was heading to see someone away. His face softened.

"Elle, I'm sorry. Obviously, you're scarred and-"

"No, I'm not!"

"You said you were!"

"I don't care what I said! I'm not scarred!"

wCalm down and stop yelling."

"I'm not yelling!" I left my mouth open as I noticed that I had been. I lowered my voice, on the verge if tears. "I'm not yelling..."

"Merlin, Elle. Don't cry. Come on, I'm not going to leave you here." He touched my arm. I slapped it away.

"No! Just go. I'll be fine!" I turned back around and furiously stomped down the hall, clutching Melvin so hard that my knuckles were white. I heard Draco groan, then start in the other direction.

When. I got to the headmaster' s office, I knocked on the door. To my surprise, Uncle Severus opened it immediately, fully clothed but looking tired.

"Eleanor? Why are you out of bed?" He looked me over. "Where are your trousers?" I didn't answer. Instead, I threw my arms around him end started letting anxiety loose in the form if tears. He looked down the hall, then pulled me through the door and closed it. Then, me lead me up to his main office. I sat on a sofa pushed against the left wall. After pulling my knees to my chest, I rested my head on of them. Uncle Severus stood over me. "What had caused you to be so distraught?"

'I had a nightmare." I sniffed. "A really scary one..."

"Surely you are not having visions if your father again?"

"No, just..." I trailed off.

"Just?"

"Nothing..." I lied. In order to explain my dream, I would have to tell him about Knockturn Alley, which I couldn't do for fear of not being allowed to see Scabior again. I loved him too much to let that happen.

"The only advice I can give is that it was only a dream and not real."

"I know, but it felt so real..." I finally put my legs down, but crossed them, feeling uncomfortable at the thought of where the man had touched. We stated quiet for a while, then he spoke again.

"Why are you not in your trousers?"

"I had to change them..." I looked away, ashamed. He thoughtfully sighed, rubbing his temples.

"Something has to be done about this. You're going to ruin a mattress if we don't." He said once he stopped.

"Everything was fine when Scabior used to wake me up."

"I am not waking you up every night. We will have to think of something else. You will see Ponfrey first thing in the morning."

"But Vincent will be there..." I blushed, frowning.

"I do not care who will be there. You will go. Besides, you two are getting married, you will have to tell him sometime."

"I was hoping it would stop by then."

"I hope it will, too, but you have to go. You may rest in my bed tonight until an elf gets your sheets cleaned up. Go rest."
