Two or three hours passed, and I was still in the Common Room waiting for Vince; He was suppose to be back two hours ago. Now it was midnight and I was alone, filling out my wedding invatations for the second time. I was getting annoyed by all ofthis.

I was simply getting the idea that this wedding stuff was more trouble than it was worth. After all, I had long given up statsifying myself and had moved on to making everyone else happy. The only thing I was holding out for myself was my dress; I wanted it to be my dress. My own. Everything else was for them.

When one o'clock came, Vince still hadn't arrived. I finally got mad enough to give up. This was ridiculous! Rage filling me, I picked up the ink pot and threw it across hte room. It hit a shelf and busted, making ink splatter everywhere. Oh well; Not my problem. I groaned and laid my head on the table.

"Elle?" Someone questioned, but I knew it wasn't Vince's voice; it was too deep. I lifted my head and looked over my shoulder.

"Oh, hey Blaise." I sighed. What was he doing up? I guess being Head Girl, that was my responisbility to find out. "Why are you not asleep?"

"Because, I need a smoke.' He shrugge.d I couldn't tell if he meant to smoke a fag or smoke something a bit more potent. Either way, it's not like I could really stop him. In fact, I was too stressed to care. Maybe if... I mean, it seemed to be orking for him...

"Have enough to share?" I raised an eyebrow. He raised one back.

"Have guts enough to try?" He challenged. I got up, leaving the invitations.

"Lead the way." I motioned for him to go. He nodded and left the Common Room, and didn't stop until we were outside, taken there by a small passage way I didn't know was there. Once there, he pulled out two long, narrow, stem looking things and handed one to me. Then, he lit them both with the end of his wand. I looked down at it as he causually started puffing.

"Does this stuff really work?" I asked, causisally taking in a huff. the feeling wasn't very pleasant. It was almost like I was being smoothered, but I pushed through it, breathing in all of it in one big breath, then out, then repeated the process. I wanted it to work so bad.

"Works enough." He let out a stream of msoke through his nose. "that wedding stuff is really stressing you out, huh?"

"Merlin, yes." I coughed: the smoke was not going down very smoothly. "It's all so crazy."

"Yeah. I've been through it seven times."

"What do you mean?"

"My mum has been married seven times, and each time the weddings get more and more extravigent. It's ridiculous. I just wish she would settle down."

"Why does she keep remarrying?" The effects of the stem was finally starting to take place. I slid down, starting to relax.

"She tells everyone they die tragically, but I think everyone knows better. She kills them. She doesn't even tell me she does, but ti's obvious. What are the chances of seven men all accidently dieing and all married to the same woman?"

"I see yours point." I looked down.

"Yeah. And everytime I get used to one and actually start to like him, he's gone and replaced by some other millionaire."

"I'm sorry." I took another long drag on my stems. "This stuff is great... I wish I could use this during the day."

"Me too, but something tells me it would be frowned upon."

"Me, too. Are these things even legal?"

"About that..." He trailed off. Somehow I was not suprised.

"It's okay. I'm not going to tell anyone."

"Good. I don't think I could make it withouth this."

"I understand. I'm feeling much better."

"It'll be back in the morning." He assured. I looked down to see that my stem had gotten really short. I looked at Blaise's to see that his was the same. I stayed quiet, weighing my options: I really wanted to do this every night. This was better than feeling stressed, even anxious, day in and day out.

"Too bad. I mean, I'm happy I'm getting married, but I have so much anxiety that it's driving me to tears. I just want to cry, all the time."

"If you want it, I have something you could take during the day, but it's a little different..." He ground what was left of the stem into the grass to put it out. I did the same and followed his lead. "Come on, it's in my trunk."

"Okay...." For the second time that night, he lead me through the secret passageway, and back to the Common Room.

"I'll go get it." He said, and went up the stairs that lead to the boy's dormitory. When he came back, he was holding a big vial of sunshine-yellow liquid. And when I say big vial, I mean big. It was bigger than the last dose of potion I took before I went to the snatcher camp.

"What is this?" I took it from him, and took out the cork. The sent was very sweet.

"It's Euphoria." He replied.

"Which is?"

"Basically, I makes you happy. I've used it a couple times, but I don't like it much. I'd rather stick to the stems."

"Do I owe you for this?"

"Nah. I stole it from Slughorn anyway, last year. The man is an idiot. He will tell you anything if you act innocent about it."

"Well, thanks, I guess."

"Just don't take it at night, because you'll never get to sleep."

"Sleep..." I stated. The stems had relaxed me so much that I was now sleepy. I'd say Blaise was so used to it that that he was no longer effected. I, on the other hand, could barley hold my eyes open.

"Yes, sleep. Which you need to go to. If you stay up any longer, you're abble to do something stupid to get us caught."

"OKay." Going to bed was no problem. Thanks for the Elixir. I'll try it tommarrow."

"No problem. Night." He turned around and went up the stairs. I couldn't hold back my smile as I went to my Head Girl room. Despite the sleepiness, I was feeling great! The best I had felt since I started planning this stupid wedding.

Back in my room, I didn't even change out of my clothes. I just let myself fall ontop of my bed. I couldn't wait to try that Elixir the next day. If I felt this good now, imagine tomarrow!

And on that thought, I fell asleep.
