Rileys pov
I was streching at the ballet bar. Rehearsals were about to start in 5 minutes. All of a sudden Emily appears in front of me.
"Hey Riley."
"What's up Em?"
"Mom texted me to tell you that we're having a family dinner tonight."
"Ok but why?"
"Well, dad is coming home!"
"Eeeeeee!" I squeal. My dad's been away in New York for about 5 days. It seemed like 5 years to me though. Me and my dad are very close.
"You're such a daddy's girl."
"I know. And I love it." We both laugh.
"Anyways it's at some diner. Me and you are supposed to go pick up his present today." She reminds me. It's my dad's 40th birthday in 3 days. We got him a watch. I just knew he would love it.
"Alright I'll meet you in the car at about 4:00. I promised Kate I would help her with some things for regionals." I said.
"Ok. I need to help Chloe with baby ballet anyways." She agrees. And then rehearsals starts.
James pov
We rehears and have a couple of breaks. Soon enough, it's 3 pm. I go and change into my black button up shirt and jeans before making my way to the guys. They were all waiting for me at Squeezed. West, Eldon and Eldon's brother Isaac. They were still all dressed in their dance clothes. (A/N Isaac is in B troupe.)
"Hey guys." I say joining them.
"Hey bro." Eldon says.
"Yo man." West replies.
"Sup." Isaac says.
A/N : to make this easier i will write in a diffferent way. You'll understand in a second.
J: nothing much.
W: did you make up with Riley?
E: we want jiley back bro.
I: you guys were fighting?!
J: nah man. I'm actually moving on. I'm going out on a date with Beth tonight.
I: Beth? From b troupe?
James nods.
W: good to see your past Riley.
I: she's a loon. Complete idiot.
E: Isaac and Beth dated.
J:oh. Hahahah.
Rileys pov
It's 4:00 and I'm waiting for Emily. After a few moments she shows up.
"Let's go." I say
"Ok." She hops into the car and starts driving. There is tons of traffic. We get home (after getting dad's watch) at 6:00 pm. We get out of the car and run upstairs. We get dressed. Em's wearing some floral jeans and a green top. And I throw on a cute medium length pink skirt and a white shirt.
"Mom we're ready." I call out.
"Meet me in the car, honey." She said.
So me and Emily run over to the car and go inside. She's sitting on the passenger seat and I'm sitting in the back. After about 2 minutes my mom comes out of the house and hops into the car.
