Rileys pov
When practice was over, I wasn't pleased to find out that I had to walk home. Alone, since Emily was sleeping over at Steph's. She has to take her car, too because I am only 15, and I can't drive.
This is going to be a long walk. I might as well get a drink to enjoy. I head down to Squeezed to grab a drink. As I'm walking through the door frame, I crash into a muscular body. I look up, to find James.
"Sorry." I say quickly, blushing and looking down again.
"Don't even worry about it. My fault anyways." He says, slightly laughing.
I look up at him. He looks down at me. I dont knkw whats happening, but slowly we both start to lean in.
James pov
The kiss is amazing, I had no idea Riley was such a good kisser. I just hope it means something. We both pull away after about 6 seconds. And just stare at each other, until an employee tells us that they were closing, and that we had to leave.
Outside, I ask Riley if she wants a ride home. And she accepts hesitantly. I'm glad she did, though. I only want tl get closer.
Riley's pov
"Hey, Riley?" James says, when we reach a red light.
"Yeah?" I reply, looking away from the window and back to him."Well, I," He starts. He scratches the back kf his neck. "Uhm, the kiss. Did it mean anything to you?"
I'm appalled by how he asked that straight up. The way he was stuttering and scratched the back of his neck, sorta reassured me that he likes me. I hope he does. I don't wanna get over him anymore. I nodded slowly.
"Did it mean anything to you?" I asked stumbling over my words.
"Yeah. I'm glad it happend, specially that it was with you." He said nervously, pulling up in front of my house. I was about to faint, he liked it too!
"Umm James?" I say, climbing out of his car. I get out, but turn to face him.
He looks at me, raises a brow and says, "Yeah?""Can you not tell anyone about it, please?" I ask, rubbing my arm. I really don't want Emily to know, considering she hates him and would only come between us.
"Um, yeah sure. If that's what you want." He smiles nodding and I'm grateful.
