Riley pov
I was nervous for my date with James tonight. I didn't know what to wear. I checked my phone, 7:30. So I just threw on a black short dress with a necklace and red lipstick. I curled my hair, grabbed my purse and headed downstairs, waiting for James. A minute later he was waiting for me outside. He was wearing a black button up shirt, black jeans and a red bowtie. It was really cute to see him dressed ul and he looked incredibly handsome.
James pov
I was greeted by Riley. She was beautiful, she always was but this time she was, like, 10 times more beautiful. I ushered her to my car and opened her door. She climbed in. I got in too and started the car.
"Where are we going?" She asks.
"Don't even worry about it, beautiful." I reply and she blushes, she has such a cute blush.
After a while I pull up. I climb out of the car, open her door and take her hand. I lead her to a beautiful meadow, I sit on a blanket on the green grass next to her.
"It's beautiful!" She says.
"So are you." I reply and she blushes and smiles.
"Why did you take me here?" She asks after 5 minutes of silence.
"Don't you like it?" I say smirking slightly.
"I love it, but why did you choose to take me here on our first date."
"Well there are so many flowers here, there's an awesome veiw and it's always so peaceful." I say, smiling. "That's why I come up here, to think. And I thought I would share that with you."
"That's so sweet. And thoughtful." She says blushing. "Thank you so much James."
She leans in and I do too. The kiss was short but sweet. We then had a picnic with Shawerma and ice cream. She snuggled up close to me as we watched her favorite move: Touchdowns and Tutus.
We went for a short walk. But that ended up with us getting lost, but finding our way again eventually. It was awesome.
Soon, I take her back to the picnic spot. We light lanterns make wishes and then just sit down for a while.
"It's getting pretty late." She finally says.
I nod. "We should probably head home now."
We got in my car. It was a comfortable silence. I was mindlessly driving, when Riley put her hand on mine. I adjusted it, and our hands were perfectly wrapped around eachother. It was like her jand was made just for me.
We soon arrived at Riley's house.
"I had a great time, thanks James." She said, smiling and she kissed me on the cheek. I smiled back at her and said my goodbyes.
I drove back to my house, went up to my room and fell asleep, after what felt like the best date ever. I cant wait to take her out on our second one.
