Riley pov

Today I'm going to take Emily's advice. She told me to just talk to James. I know he is gonna tell me everything straight up. And maybe we can work through this. I'm not over losing my baby, but I have put that fake smile on my face.

It's currently 8:55 am. I'm meeting James at 10:00, so I think I'll have a walk in the park or something. I need nature's beauty to cheer me up.

I go downstairs, after getting dressed.

"Good morning." I say, sitting at the table beside Emily.

"Morning, Ri," Dad smiles. "We need to talk."

"So talk." I reply, taking a bite from my omlette.

"We understand you're going through alot, but can you please explain to us about the pregnancy and everything. It's still a bit blurry for me and your mother."

"Well, I was only a couple weeks along. I was planning on telling you, before..." I explain, a crack in my voice.

"We understand, honey," Mom said in a calm voice. "We just want you to know, that we love you, and will always be here for you."

"What your mother is trying to say, Ri, is that we would like you to tell us as soon as you find out, next time." Dad says, also in a calm voice. I nod.

"Yeah, I will, I promise." I smile. "And by the way, I love you too."

James pov

I sit in my couch in the living room, nervously playing with my fingers. I scratched the back of my neck every now and then. Riley was gonna be here any minute. I know what she wants to talk about, even if she didn't say it directly. She wants to know why I've been distant lately. I think I should tell her, even though it will break her. I love her, but I can't do anything about this.

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. I opened the door to find a ver nervous Riley.

"Hey, Ri." I say, opening the door for her to come in. I lead her to the living room. "Nobody's home so we can talk here."

"So, I wanted to ask you, uh, well," she stuttered. "You haven't been your charming self lately, I wanted to know why."

"Oh, um, honestly?" I ask, debating whether to tell her the truth or not.

"Yeah, James. Honestly." She replies, oblivious to the fact that this news will break her. "I can take it."

"Uh, so you know a couple weeks back, when I was kidnapped?" I say, sweat in my palms. She nods, looking very worried. "I sorta, well, Beth's.. pregnant."

A/N I know, I know. This chapter is terrible. It's super short, but I wanted it to end like this. I'm so sorry, I'll try to update soon. Cliff hanger mwahahaha!
