Riley's pov
After practise I go down to Squeezed, because James wanted to meet me there. I don't know if I should tell him about me and Daniel's kiss. It doesn't mean anything, that's why I have to. I really don't want to, though. I'm afraid of what his reaction might be. All I have to do now is be honest, and hope for the best.
"Hey James." I say casually. "What's up?"
"Uh, nothing much, is anything up with you?" He asks suspiciously. I wonder what's wrong.
"No, not really. W-why did you want to meet me here?" I ask bravely, I want to hear what he says to me before I tell him.
"Oh nothing, I just wanted to know if anything funny happened today," He said, overpronouncing the word funny. "You know, aything unusual."
"Well, actually James I need to tell you something," I begin. Anixiety fills me as he nods, but I continue. "Daniel kissed me today in the costume closet. But I promise James, the kiss didn't mean anything to me and neither does Daniel. I only really wanna be with you, James. You have to understand that. Only you."
I look at his expression. He doesn't look surprised. "Did you kiss back?" He asks coldly.
"Only at first, but then I realised-"
"Why would you do that Riley?" He inturupted.
"I don't know James I was standing on the trunk, I fell, he caught me, we kissed." I said "I'm so sorry James. I tried to pull away."
James pov
I am hurt. How could she just do and kiss him like that? At least she was honest. But that still doesn't cover up the fact that they kissed. Im really really hurt. But at the end, she apologized. And it's only drama. I should put the drama aside, and try to be happy, right?
"Riley, I trust you. And that's why I'm going to forgive you. You should know that you are very special to me. And that's the only reason I'm forgiving you." I say smirking. I know I'm not fully trusting her now. But she told me the truth, and thats all that matters. She crashes my lips on to hers, and we stay like that for about 2 minutes.
"Thank you so much James!" She says, with a big smile. "I will never let that happen again."
"I'll make sure it doesnt." I say smiling. Thinking about what I'm going to do to Daniel. I buy us some juices and we continue to talk.
"But I do have to have a chat with Daniel first." I say. She glares at me then giggles.
"James, you know I've never met your family." She says, changing the subject. I'm glad she does, and keep going.
"That's right, they wanted to invite you over for dinner tomorrow." I say, also changing the subject. She smiles.
"I'm nervous!" She says. I smile.
"Don't even worry about it, babe." I soothe. "They're going to love you."
