We had to stop at a cheap motel, cause I could barely keep my eyes open while driving, and Kayt was passed outnext to me, so I decided to just find a resting spot for the night.

"Come on." I said, shaking Kayt awake, "He's given us a room."

Kayt yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Is it cheap?" she asked. I nodded, and grabbed my things. Kayt did the same, and we went into our run-down room. Kayt threw her things into a corner, and coughed as dust flew up into the air as her lugage smacked the floor, and wall.

"Oh how gross." she said, drowsily. "Couldn't have given us a cleaner room?" she turned to me, and gave me a small smile. "Lets go to sleep."

I nodded, and took a seat on the bed. There was only one, but we didn't mind sleeping next to each other. All's we were gonna do was sleep, so why did it matter? We do it all the time.

I yawned, and layed my head on the pillow. I crinkled my nose in discust as the smell of seaty heads, and un-washed hair engulfed my nose. I threw the pillow off to the side, and grabbed my own pillow.

I burried my face deep into it's sweet smell, and smiled as I remembered how comfy my bed was, and how I loved to look at all my posters of famous popstars, and country singers that alined my walls.

As I closed my eyes, I tried to tell myself I was sleeping in my room. My mom was snoring downstairs in her room, while her TV was turned on, the sounds of re-run soap opera's played in the background.

Finally, I drifted off into a nice, peaceful sleep, believeing what I was thinking.

"Wake up!" Kayt screamed. "There's a rat!" she added in a small scriek as I opened my eyes. I could see a small shadow scurry into a corner, probably frightened by Kayt's screaming.

"Kayt." I said, laughing. "First, be quiet. We're not the only people here, and second that's a mouse." I got up, and walked over to the corner. I pulled out some hangers from the closet, and linked the together, to make a long, stick-like thing. I shoved one end into the corner, and could hear the mouse scratch at the walls as the end hit it's side.

"It'll be alright, okay?" I added as I removed the hanger line, and un-linked them. Kayt calmed down enough to put her feet on the ground. She looked around, a distusted look on her face.

"This place needs some serious cleaning." she said, looking at the bed side table. An old, use-up tissue was placed ontop of the alarm clock. Kayt shivered, and looked at me.

"Are we staying here?" she asked, standing.

I shrugged. "I guess so. We're far enough from my mother, aren't we?" I placed my hands on my hips, and looked around the room. "And the rent isn't that much. 'Bout 10 dollars a night. Not bad."

Kayt shrugged. "If we are," she reached for her purse, "We are gonna go get some cleaning supplies." I laughed, and grabbed my wallet, along with slipping on some shoes. The store wasn't too far from the motel, so we didn't take long getting there.

"We'll need these, for sure." Kayt said, throwing in a small box of rubber gloves into our cart. "No way am I touching that nasty tissue on the alarm clock with my bare hands." she shivered again, and giggled.

As we waited in the checking out lane, I picked up a random magazine. Teen, pop-sensation Justin Bieber was on the cover.

"He must be one lucky duck." I said, showing Kayt the cover.

Kayt smiled. "He's super sexy though." I laughed.

"Agreed." I slipped it back into its correct rack, and unloaded our cart onto the small conveier belt thing that slid your groceries up to the cashier.
