[Chapter 5] Part 16: Lilly's Domain Ep. 1

Nearic groans as he slowly opens his eye, but he's only greeted by purple, "What happened?" he grits his teeth as he tries to move, only to feel restricted, "Wha-"

The purple recedes, revealing Lilly Lovebraids as she steps forwards, "They smell like dead bodies."

Nearic blinks in confusion, "What-"

Lilly gasps as she looks at the Candy Cat head in her hair's grasps, "Well that's not a nice thing to say, Candy," she reprimands, "What's a nicer way to tell a friend that they smell like gore?" she grins a bit too wide.

"Uh..." Nearic glances round the pink room they stand in, "That I should take a bath?"

Lilly turns away in disappointment, "Now?" she turns away and walks towards a door, "No no no, we have to set up the party!"

"Huh?" Nearic was so confused.

Lilly turned around and smiled strangely, "Can you be a good toy and bring me the crumpets from the oven in the basement?"

Nearic squints at her in confusion, "Crum-" he shakes his head and waves an arm in dismissal, "Wait, just wait a minute!"

Lilly blinks and tilts her head innocently, "Yes?"

"First of all, I'm not getting anything for you until you tell me what the hell is going on!" he shouts.

The doll hops like an excited child, "Why, we're having a party. We'll be having a special quest coming, too! I can't disappoint him after not seeing him in so long."

"Him?" Nearic asked, arching an eyebrow, "Him who?"

Lilly covers her mouth as she giggles, "Oh, I can't tell you~ It's a surprise!" She stims excitedly her arms shaking excitedly in front of her.

Nearic shakes his head, "Whatever," he looks at her again, "Where's Catnap? He was with me before you kidnapped us, what did you do to him?"

"Oh, you mean the Kitty?" Lilly asks before frowning, "The cat was being feisty, so I put him in time out with the dog." She kids the ground shyly, "I always wanted pets, but they don't like me."

Nearic's breath hitched, "Pet?"

She looks up, smiling again, "Right, pets. I always wanted a dog; they're my favourite animals. Did you know that?" she leaned close to him, making Nearic lean back uncomfortably.

"Uhhhhhhh-"

"Anyways!" she interrupts, standing back, "Get the crumpets and bring them to me in the dining room, I have to plan a few things for the party!" She turned and started walking away tot the TV in the room.

Nearic frowns, "Hold on, I never said anything about help-"

A loud crack is heard as Lilly's head snaps backward to look at him, her smile even wider and her eyes immediately bloodshot, "What was that?" she asks casually.

Nearic jumps, startled, "Uh..." he smiles shakily, "I mean, I'll get right on it!" he swings his left arm to his right shoulder, "Can't have the perfect party without crumpets, right?" he laughs awkwardly.

Her smile and eyes return to normal with a blink, "Perfect, thank you so much. This party will be so much fun!" she turns back to the TV, humming some tune to herself.

Nearic sags with a sigh of relief, stepping out of the door next to him, "That was too close, I'll have to be careful around her."

The teen follows the hallway down, passing another door, to another room, which was a closed off kitchen, "Not that way," he mutters. He turns around and goes through the door with a blue flower on it, concrete stairs leading downward, "This way."
