Everyone, besides the Prototype, stared at Nearic's unmoving body, his long hair had dispersed across the ground as blood pooled on the floor, the hair, themed after his father, being stained and corrupted by his own blood.

Catnap went mad, "YOU MOTHER FUCKER!!!"

He charged and tackled the Prototype to the ground, "I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

"No..." Dogday breathed in horror.

Poppy ran to the teen and kneeled down, "Nearic, get up, Nearic get up!" she cried.

That shocked both brother and father out of their stupor and run to the fallen boy, "No, no, no!"

Dan kneeled down as Dogday flipped his son over, "Nearic!"

His eyes were closed and blood kept leaving his mouth in streams while his blood-soaked hair stuck to his face, "Nearic, please..." Dogday wept, "don't go now."

Dan checked his pulse, but his shaking was making it almost impossible, "I LOVED YOU!!!" he looked over and saw Catnap get tossed to the ground, "AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!"

"This is – what happens when – you betray – me!" it roars.

"Dan!" Dogday shouted, getting his attention back, "Help him!" he pleads.

The older brother looks back at his unmoving brother, blood soaking his shirt and pooling on the ground, his hair making streaks of red form on his face. Dan slowly hovers his hand over Nearic's mouth, he exhales shakily and touches the side of his brother's neck and closes his eyes, hoping, praying.

But it was still.

He cries and grabs his head, "no..."

Dogday's eyes widen, "No, no!" he looks down at Nearic as he stumbles back, gripping his head.

"Nearic..." Poppy covers her mouth in dismay.

"RAGH!!!" the others look back and see Catnap tackle the Prototype onto its back, "I HAVE HAD IT!" he grabs the Prototype's stolen arms, "YOU WILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE!"

Catnap rips one out and the Prototype roars, "I DID – WHAT WAS NECEASSARY!" it tired to swipe Catnap off, but his tail grabbed the appendage.

"NO," he ripped out another false arm, "YOU ONLY WANTED REVENGE!"

The Prototype uses its legs to impale Catnap's left hindleg, prompting a scream, "You have – persisted longer than – is acceptable," it tosses him off, right into a support pillar, ripping out the last arm as a result.

"Catnap!" Dogday cried.

The feline tries to get up but the Prototype reaches in and grabs the speaker in his mouth, "I tire of this," and rips out his voice box.

Catnap vomits blood and falls forward, barely catching himself as arcs of energy spark across his mouth, "NO!" Dan and Poppy scream.

"Leave him alone!" Dogday roars as he runs to stop the Prototype.

The Prototype grabs him by the throat without a glance, "Always loyal – aren't you?" it growls.

Catnap moves to attack it, but the Prototype smacks him into his back before stomping on his injured leg again, pinning him to the ground, "Stay down."
