The family of four climb up to the second level through another tunnel as Nearic informs Marie about what's going on, "Doey's on a rampage?!"
"It's not his fault," Nearic replies, "He's stuck in his grief and now they're out of control! So I need you to think, what helped calm them down if they were ever unstable or upset?"
CLANG
They look to the center and see Doey climb up to the top of large crane before he starts firing dough spikes at them, "Mommy, Daddy, I just want to go home!" he wails.
"I-I don't know! He's never sounded that upset! You're the Survivor, can't you figure it out?!" she pleads.
"Marie, I need you to think; I can't do this without you. I survive because I know when to ask for help, when I need new tools, new methods. So please Marie, if we have any hope of calming him down, I need you to think!"
"Look out!" Catnap cried as he shoved his nephew to the ground.
Nearic looked up just as spiked pierced through his uncle's left arm, making his grunt in pain, "I'm okay!" he reassured, we need to get into a tunnel!"
"Wait!" Marie shouted, "I remember, a while ago, when we still spoke, Doey talked about how to heal when no one else wanted to help; said something about talking to yourself. He also said he found something that he never thought he'd ever see. He never explained it to me, but all he said was 'it gave me perspective'. And whenever he's down he'll go back there to remind himself of his duty: to us, the other toys, to all those that didn't deserve the pain they got. There may be a tape or something nearby that he listens to calm down!"
The four turn into a tunnel, "That's all well and good and all, but we don't even know where it is!" Dan shouted in frustration.
"Well it wasn't in Safe Haven, but I do know it was somewhere no one would look. He didn't want anyone else to know when he was vulnerable. Maybe No Man's Land?" Marie repies helpfully.
"That narrows it down." Catnap says sarcastically.
"Not the time!" Dogday snaps.
"Where are you?" Hoppy suddenly asks.
"In No Man's Land, some sort of coalmine-like sector, there's a giant crane in the center, there are saw all over the place, and tunnels bridge the path around the area," Nearic reports.
"I know where that is," she mutters, "I don't remember exactly, but somewhere in that sector should be cave that leads to a parking garage or docking bay. It's isolated and has no cameras, if there's anywhere someone would go to not be seen or heard by either party down here, that's where I'd go."
"Alright," Nearic smiles as he looks at the others, "We'll check it out."
"One problem," she adds, "It's locked behind two GrabPack scanners, a blue one and one for the Omni-Hand."
Dan groans as Nearic chuckles nervously, "Gues sit's up to us to keep him busy?" getting more groans from his father and uncle, "Thanks Aunty, we'll report back as soon as we can, if you're reaching the end of the Prison, try to find some train tracks and follow them down. That's how we got there."
"Copy that, good luck."
Nearic stuffs the radio away and takes a deep breath, "I guess we stall for time?"
Dan shakes his head, "No, take the time to try and calm both Matthew and Jack down; they should be the easiest to manage. Leave Kevin to me, I'll try and find that docking bay, and that tape, if I find it, send him to me. Got it?"
"I'm sorry, I'm so I wasn't good enough!" Doey wailed.
Everyone looked out at the grief in his voice, "Matthew..." Dogday muttered.
