Destination

(Amaya's POV)

Tumatakbo kami ngayon ni Ethan kahit halos di na naming makita ang dinadaanan namin. Basang-basa na rin kami at nilalalamig.

Our destination?

We should be heading to the mountains' peak by now but no. Hindi yun ang dapat naming puntahan. It didn't fit.

After realizing na dapat ang stars ang sinusunod namin, di ko alam pero I had a feeling I had to look up. So yun. Ginawa ko at di ako nabigo.

For sure you guys are curious kung anong 'stars' ang nakita namin. Una sa lahat it was only around 3 in the afternoon. And it was raining hard. Well, ang nakita namin is 'christmas lights'. Yep, Christmas lights.

They're everywhere. Nasa mga puno sila. And I can't even think of how the SC put them there. = u =

Why we didn't notice them before is because they go off. Then mago-on ulit siya after 10 minutes. You have to wait for it to turn on again before ka magcontinue kasi you'll lose track of it.At hindi mo talaga siya makikita nung hindi pa maulan eh maliwanag nga. Or maybe because we never bothered to look up. XD

But it isn't simple. You'd think it's just following but no. May mga times na dead end. Medyo nairritate nga ako kasi yung isang dead end na napuntahan namin eh bangin! = ______ = Pinapahamak talaga kami eh! Buti nalang nahawakan ko si Ethan before siya nahulog. Opo. Ako pa ang nagligtas ah. Hahaha.

Anyway, I figured na there is something you need to know first. And it so happens na super interested ako sa stars and astronomy kaya alam ko na kung ano yun.

As far as I've observed, iba-iba ang kulay ng Christmas lights: red, orange, yellow, blue and bluish white. Those are colors of the stars in exact order ng heat ba nila? Basta yun.

The redder the star is the cooler it is and the whiter it is the hotter the star. So basically, it's like a game of hot or cold!

We've been following those red ones kasi yun yung nakikita namin ng maayos at madali lang namin sila mahanap kasi the red ones are the brightest lights compared sa rest. But we we're wrong there.

Sa larong hot or cold, hot means 'near and cold means 'far' if I am not mistaken. So now we're looking for blue or bluish white lights, which the SC probably had fainter.

And, hindi lang yan yung mistake namin. It so happens na mali yung guesses namin sa past clues. We were right dun sa 'last ray' part, na meaning sunset. And we we're also right about it being a high and wide place where you'll see the sunset. Pero mali yung mountain peak. Yes it is wide but this mountain is covered with a vast forest. Kahit andun ka na sa pinakatuktuk, wala kang makikita kundi tree trunks kasi wala ngang view.

So that leaves us one more place to go:

The cliff.

Think about it, kung nasa cliff ka you'd be able to see the 'last ray' of the sun. You'll be able to see the 'world' under and beyond it and when you scream you'll hear your 'echo' or when someone else screams, you're most likely to hear it too.
