Time For Love

(Leo's POV)

"Are you finished describing yourself?"

Napatingin siya sakin at nanlakki ang mga mata.

"U-uhmm... I-I'm s-sorry, w-what?" nauutal niyang sabi. Halatang both confused, curious and eager siya. How cute. :">

"Haha. I said, are you finished describing yourself?"

"I...Uhh...I'm confused...D-does this m-mean..." she stood up and looked at me. Tinanguan ko siya and smiled.

Siguro out of shock she covered her mouth with her hands. Pero ang di ko magets eh ang part na tumulo yung luha niya! / O o O \

"Oi! Why are you crying?! Was it something I said? Na-offend ka ba in some way?" Uwaaaah! Bat siya umiiyak? Anung ginawa ko?

I heard her giggle at tiningnan siya ng may pagtataka.

"Leo?"

"Yeah?"

"You have a weird way of confessing you know." At natawa nanaman siya.

Ouch.

Kala ko ba naman eh nakakakilig yun at hindi cheesy. = 3 = *pout*

"But it had to be the best one yet."

She looked at me then smiled.

Ngumiti naman ako at napakamot sa batok.

"What, no hug?" sabi ko at tumayo na. Then, ini-stretch ang mga kamay na parang nag-aantay ng hug.

Napatawa naman siya at yinakap ako.

"Leila?"

"Hmm?"

"Will you grant me the honor of courting you?"

She broke the hug and then walked away.

O _ O Walk away?

"Leila! Hey where are you going?" sigaw ko sakanya.

I put on a puzzled face nung tumawa siya ng malakas.

"Hahaha! Leo, the ride's over." And beamed.

Napatingin ako sa paligid ko at nakitang naiinip na yung taong papasok next sa cab ng ferris wheel.

Namula ako at lumabas na din sa cab at sinundan na si Leila papuntang auditorium.

"Hahaha! That was gold Leo. You should've seen your cute pink face!" natatawa pa niyang sabi.

Napabuntong hininga ako.

"Is it just me or does it seem like my confession is so far in the past now?"

Napatigil siya sa paglalakad and looked straight into my eye.

Her glare is making me shiver.

(Change of POVs: Leila's POV)

A/N: Singit muna ko! XD May naalala kasi ako eh. Nung mga classmates ko palang yung bumabasa nito, tinatanong nila ako, "Uyy! Never ba naming mababasa si Leila na tatagalog!" Natawa lang ako sakanila. Actually, hindi ko talaga si Leila ipapatagalog. XD LOL Bakit? Para masaya! Kaya pagmagPOV siya, straight English yan (pero yung dialogue ng ibang characters may tagalong din). Yun lang. Go on. :D

"Is it just me or does it seem like my confession is so far in the past now?"

I stopped dead at my tracks and looked into Leo's eyes.

Wait? Why am I doing this in the first place? Why did I even stop?

I turned around and started walking again with Leo right behind me.

Geez. What should I say...

We reached the auditorium with none of us uttering a single word. Pinaupo muna kami ng SC President sa waiting room. When she left, the deafening silence took over us again.

"I'm sorry." I muttered with my head held low. I could feel him look at me though.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because, I have this feeling that I hurt you in some way. And I think I know what it's about. Leo, if you're thinking that I rejected you because I've avoided the question you asked then you're wrong."

I stood up and looked out the window near the waiting room.

"Then what's the problem?"

I sighed.

"It's just that... Leo, I believe that there is a time for everything. Even love. And unfortunately our time hasn't come yet. With all this... This 'plan' and trouble we got ourselves into, I don't think it's the best time. I mean, we all have something that we want to protect, that's why we are fighting. That's why we are doing this. You have to focus on Amaya and I have to focus on Ethan. There's so much on the line here and if we make a wrong move, we could lose it all. So Leo, I'm sorry but for now I-"

I couldn't finish my sentence because Leo suddenly hugged me. He held the back of my head and gently pushed it down on his chest.

I could hear his heart beat.

"You hear that Leila?"

I nodded in reply and closed my eyes. The sound of his heart echoes through my mind, making my own heart beat in perfect harmony with it.

"As long as my heart beats and the stars shine, I'll never give up on you. I won't let you get taken away from me you got that? I will protect you. I know our situation. I just couldn't lose you, I don't want to take that risk. Just..."

I felt a drop of water drop on my cheeks and saw that Leo was crying. And, I didn't even realize but I've been crying all this time.

"Leila. When all of this is over, when we get out of this mess, I promise you I'll give you all I've got. I'm never gonna let you go. Okay? And I guess, it is hard to fall in love in the wrong time."

He broke the hug and looked at me. He smiled with tears flowing down his cheeks.

I laughed.

"Yeah."

He kissed my forehead after wiping my wet cheeks.

I guess, for now this is our resolve. This is a temporary act we both agreed on doing for the sake of others and ourselves. Maybe someday Leo and I can walk down the road with our hands intertwined. We can talk and laugh all night long. We can be ourselves with each other. Maybe.

But for now we have to hold back our feelings. Bottle them up for the time being. We have to keep on fighting to see where it'll lead us.

"Leo?"

"Yeah?"

"I... uhmm... I want to say this. Just this once."

He looked at me with his cute puzzled look and it made me giggle.

"Leo, I LOVE YOU."

Habang nangyayari ang usapan nila Leo and Leila, di nila alam na may isang taong nakatago sa labas ng window at napakinggan at nakita ang lahat.

She stood up from the bush she was hiding with a sneaky grin.

"I might just have a shot to ruin your plan, you old geezer."
