Jungkook had about a month of peace before things started to get bad again.
In the months leading up to Love Yourself Tear, he was definitely stressed, but by the fifth month living with the members, they had all seemed to finally get into a rhythm around each other.
He also had managed to avoid seeing the mysterious werewolf guy and hadn't received any creepy messages.
Until now, that is.
He had been awoken to the sound of his phone buzzing at four am. He opened his eyes lazily, unable to adjust as he tried to feel around for his phone in the dark, when he finally did, and turned it on, the dim message on the screen had him shooting up from bed in a frenzy, feeling like he just had a strong caffeinated drink.
'Quit now before it's too late.'
"Well, at least it's not 'Stay away' this time," he groaned, putting a hand over his mouth so he could yawn, lazily swinging his legs over the edge of the bed.
It upset him; he had finally managed to go to sleep on time, but he should've known better and turned off his notifications, because now he was wide awake. They had a busy day ahead of them, and he wanted nothing more than to be curled up under his warm blanket, sleeping peacefully.
He sluggishly put on a shirt and slipped on his house shoes, turning the knob slowly. He decided to get some fresh air, hoping that being outside for long enough would lull him back to a tired state.
He pressed the down button on the elevator after he had already tiptoed his way through the penthouse. He wrapped his arms around himself, inhaling sharply. Ever since the incident with the werewolf, he has been more on edge; the text from the stranger didn't help.
Jungkook did not know at all what he was going to do; he had plenty of possibilities, but many ended in consequences only he would face, and that scared him.
He walked out of the building, looking up to see a few sparse stars in the sky. In a city like Seoul, it could be hard to see the beauty of the night sky above due to light pollution. He sometimes considered visiting a rural area so he could truly appreciate the beauty that the earth had to offer, but he sadly just never had the time.
He turned on his heel, walking towards the back alley, sniffing the air when he recognised the familar menthol of Yoongis cigarettes.
Damn.
His outside time might be ruined.
He pouted, looking back towards the door. If he went inside, he knew what would happen. He would just stare at the ceiling fan in a completely blank state in a pathetic attempt to forget about the text and everything else that had bothered him.
Jungkook would grit and bear it, knowing Yoongi was one of the more complex members, but still easier to be around.
He was leaned against a wall in a lazy plaid button-down with black pants, as he had never bothered to change into pajamas. His hair was still styled well, so Jungkook gathered he probably just hadn't slept; no wonder he took so many naps throughout the day.
He side-eyed Jungkook, flicking his cigarette to get the ash off, "pretty early for you to be awake."
"Pretty early for you to still not have slept," Jungkook swallowed, having to adjust his shirt. He felt awkward, the daze of sleep inertia still heavy on his brain, making all of his movements just a little slower.
Yoongi shrugged, "I couldn't sleep. What about you?"
"I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep," Jungkook sighed, standing beside Yoongi against the wall, slowly sliding to a sitting position, pulling his knees to his chest, while Yoongi still stood in slight amusement.
