*20 years later*
I waved to the secretary as I fished around for my keys. "Bye Ms. Karen! See you tomorrow." She waved back. "Of course Mrs. Smith. Say hello to the children for me." I smiled. "I always do Karen." I got into my mini van and drove home."Momma momma!" A little voice called. A little girl with dirty blond hair and big blue eyes ran to me as I got out of my car. "Oh Claire honey! Hello my sweet girl!" I scooped her up into my arms. She was 5 now, getting heavier. "Where's Daddy?" I asked my youngest daughter. "In the kitchen with Imogene and Luke." I sighed. "Oh no. Daddy's cooking again?" She wrinkled up her nose and nodded. "The fire alarm went off twice already."
"Jake, honey, are you cooking again?" I heard a scoff come from the kitchen. "What? Who told you that?" He thought about it for a moment. "Claire did you tattle on your own father?" She shrunk back into my arms. "No." She said quietly. "Don't you blame it on her! You know you can't cook!" I walked into the kitchen to see the trash overflowing with burnt food, and my other two children. My 14 year old son Luke, and my 8 year old daughter Imogene. I put Claire down and hugged Imogene. "How are you hon?" She sighed. "Hungry and smelling like burnt food." But when she pulled back she was smiling. My little introvert, just like me. "Luke, sweet heart, come give your mother a hug." Being 15, he did not like to show affection to me anymore. I had to ask for a hug every day. He groaned and walked over to me, limply putting his arms around me. "Oh come on you big whiner, I brought you into this world. The least you can do is give me a real hug." He tightened his arms, and I was satisfied. Then I walked over to Jake. "How are you today Mr. Mom?" He narrowed his eyes at me but bent down to peck my lips. "Fine. The office was okay." I smiled. "I'm glad. Let me go change." I ran upstairs.
So, it's 20 years later. You might want to know what happened after all these years. As you know, Jake and I married, and we're still married right now. 3 beautiful children. Luke the spitting image of his father, Imogene like me, and Claire a mix. I am a registered nurse, and Jake has an office job.
About the others, Hannah Kate did end up marrying Jimmy, though it took forever. They broke up when she went to college in Alabama and he stayed here. They needed to, "explore", a little is how she put it. But, all those years apart, she couldn't imagine living without him, and neither could he. So they married, around the same time we did. We planned our weddings together. HK is a high school teacher now, Jimmy works at a car dealership. Make decent money. HK comes from a big family, but they only have two kids. Two beautiful daughters, Lacey and Cassie. They're both very happy, we were pregnant together too. Me with Luke, her with Lacey. We're still trying to get them to date so we can be related, but they won't budge. Riane is married, a nice guy named Avery. One child, a girl named Braelynn. River is married, her name is Lauren, but no kids. Overall, we all turned out great.
I came back downstairs in sweat pants and a sweat shirt. "You look beautiful." Jake kissed my cheek and set the table with microwaveable food. I sat down. "Gave up hmm?" He glared at me. "Cooking is hard! You make it look easy!" We all sat down and ate. Jake was wonderful with children, and our teenager. Our family was beautiful, and I wouldn't of changed a thing.

What could go wrong?
Teen FictionKatie is not like the other girls in these books, who claim that they're not pretty but really are. She's just genuinely not good looking or special. Jake on the other hand is exactly like the stereo type. Cocky, egotistic, arrogant, shall I go on...
