It was now a week since Violet and Jake started going out. I was starting to get okay with it, even though Jake hung around me less, I was glad it made him happy. It was the end of the day and I stepped out of my classroom into the stampede. Ugh, hallways. Why does everything have to happen in the halls. I mean seriously! I mean just today I was slammed into by two people and dropped my books on the person below me. Sorry Brianna. Today was Tuesday, and I was already wishing it was Friday. I rolled my eyes at the day as the dismissal bell rang out. Yippee!! I get to go home!! Ugh, I have to walk. Most of the time I'm grateful for my walk home. But now I just don't want to. I waved goodbye to HK and made my way out the door. I was just starting to relax, when I hear, "Stop right there you slut." I froze in my place. I slowly turn around and see the face I was dreading to ever again. I gulped. "Look," she said, coming closer, "I know you and Jake have a deal or whatever, but stay away from him. He's mine now." I blinked, and breathed for the first time since she spoke. "Um, okay. But just so you know, we weren't really doing any thing of that sort, so..." My gaze went to the sidewalk. She grinned. "Oh I know that. Jake would never make a move on..." She motioned toward my body, "That. But you might." I looked at her. "What?" "Oh, he would never make a move on you." My eyebrows knit together. "Just out of curiosity, why not?" I swear I could see fire in those eyes.
"Because. He know not only has a perfect girlfriend, but look at yourself. Your quiet, you have a terrible personality, and your so much of a push over that you won't even stick up for yourself. Plus your really, how do I put this nicely, ugly!" She smirked. And back down to the sidewalk my gaze went. She was right. I wouldn't even stick up for myself, I was to nice, or a pushover, or whatever you wanna call it. "Look at me when I speak skunk." I kept my gaze down. "I said, LOOK AT ME!" My mind told me to do so, but I was to stubborn. That, or I was to much of a coward. Either way I wasn't looking at her. She took my chin, and aggressively moved my head up. Then she slapped me across the face, hard. Tears were starting to form, and then there was a, "Aw, is the little ugly baby gonna cry." Yes. I wanted to sit there and bawl, but not in front of Violet. I held them in to the point where I couldn't see, but I wouldn't let them fall. "Go ahead and cry. It'll just show what a..."
"VIOLET!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER!!" She whipped around and saw Jake heading toward her with a look that could kill. Then, I let my tears fall as I sat down on the grass. "J-Jake! Oh, nothing. Forget about her. Let's go do something romantic together." Her finger trailed up and down his are. He shoved her away from him. "You hurt her?! Violet, she's one of my best friends!! You'd convinced me that you changed but now I see it was all an act." He started towards me but Violet grabbed him and pulled him back. "But, IM your girlfriend and she's not. Is it bad that I got a little jealous?" She put a pouty face on. "Your not my girlfriend anymore. Now get out of here before I do something I'll regret!" Her pout got bigger. "But, baby." "GO!! NOW!!" Her pout turned to sheer horror as she ran for her life. His face turned from anger to concern. My mouth was agape. "T-Thank you." He shook his head. "It was nothing. She never really meant much to me. Now how did she hurt you." I softly touched the bruise that was forming. "Besides the words that cut me all she did was slap me." I was still sitting on the ground when he crouched to my level. "All she did? That's gonna leave a massive bruise." His fingertips grazed my cheek.
"I'll be fine. Thank you for stopping her." He was more concerned about my cheek, though his eyes did seem to wonder around my face a bit. "Yeah. No problem." He looked more closely at my wound. "Alrighty, I'm gonna slowly press down on it harder and harder, and you tell me when you can't take it. Okay?" I nodded. He pressed his whole hand on the side of my face and started pressing. Almost immediately, shock of pain wen through. Instinctively, I reached up and grabbed his hand in one quick motion. He stopped pressing. "Is that all you can take?" I was holding back tears as I nodded. He took my hand in his and sighed. "It's not that bad. You can fool your parents by telling them you had a bad fall." I only nodded again. He stood up, not letting go of my hand, and helped me to my feet. When I got up, he was apparently still pulling after I got to my feet, so there was barely any air between us. My breath hitched as he looked down at me with those eyes. He smirked. He knew I was frightened. "Have you ever been kissed before." I stared at him in horror. "I refuse to answer that question." I stated. He smiled. "Alright. I'll get it out of you somehow." Oh no.

What could go wrong?
Fiksi RemajaKatie is not like the other girls in these books, who claim that they're not pretty but really are. She's just genuinely not good looking or special. Jake on the other hand is exactly like the stereo type. Cocky, egotistic, arrogant, shall I go on...
