I decided to introduce Riane to Hannah Kate. They were fast friends, and HK was surprised I had talking to someone new. I smiled most of the time, and they were both happy to meet each other. I went over to Jake's house that day to take care of him while Nate and his dad went to the store. I told him he whole thing in extreme detail as I sat on the edge of his bed. "Riane was awesome! Saving me from her brother like that. And I was so proud of myself for making a new friend! I wish you were there Jake, you would of been so proud." He took my hand. "I am proud of you." He said in his sick, raspy voice. "Aw. You sound terrible. Can I get you anything?" He shook his head. "Nah, you being here is enough." I smiled. "Well if you weren't sick I would kiss you." He raised an eyebrow. "Why should that stop us?" He sat up with puckered lips and attempted to kiss me. I pushed him back. "No! Jake you're sick, I don't want to get sick!" He smiled, and used his superior strength to lay on top of me. "Don't breath on me!" I yelled, exasperated. He chuckled. "You have the strongest immune system in the world! You eat stuff you drop on the floor!" I scoffed. "That is not.... I don't do... That is a lie... Ok well there's a rule for that!" He looked in my eyes, and suddenly I had an overwhelming urge to kiss him as well. I wonder what he was thinking.
Jake's POV
I looked into her eyes, and wanted to kiss her. It had only been a day or two since we'd kissed, but the feeling was overwhelming. It was the first time in a while where I was afraid she wouldn't kiss me back. I was sick, she didn't want that. I was just about to get off, but her voice stopped me. "You know, you can kiss me if you really want to." I smiled. She wanted to kiss me as badly as I wanted to kiss her. "But you might get sick." I said, though instantly I regretted it, seeing as though it might stop the kiss from happening. "Well it's like you said, I have the strongest immense system in the world." I leaned close to her face. "Do you want to risk getting sick just to kiss me?" I whispered. "I think you're as willing to risk it as I am." She whispered back. "I'm just going to say it. I think we both want to kiss each other really bad, but don't want you to get sick." I said. She nodded, focusing on my lips. "I'm willing to risk it if you are." I looked at her lips, and never had I wanted so badly to press my lips against hers. "I don't think you can do anything to stop me." "Me either." She responded.I put my forehead on hers, brushing my nose against hers. She wrapped her arm around my shoulder and slid her hand into my dirty blond hair. She brushed her fingers through it, and it felt so good I didn't want her to ever stop. I put my hand on the side of her face and caressed her temple. She closed her eyes and leaned into it. "Katie." I mumbled. "Yes Jake." "I love the sound of your name." She chuckled. "Thanks Jake." I played her name over an over in my mind. K-A-T-I-E. "Jake." She mumbled. "Yes Katie." "Would you hurry up and kiss me?" I chuckled this time, and played with her hair. Then she grew impatient, grabbed my neck and crashed her lips against mine. I smiled through it, then focused all my energy into kissing her. Our lips molded perfectly together, and I felt rejuvenated just to touch her. When we broke apart, it felt too soon. "I don't want to leave you." "You don't have too." She replied immediately. "Katie, I wasn't sure before, but now I'm deadly positive." She nodded. "I think I know what you're gonna say, and I feel the same way. Let's say it at the same time." I counted down from three, and after one, we both said it in sync. "I love you." She smiled. "I love saying that." "Me too." I agreed. "I love you." I said. "I love you." She replied.
She was overpowered with enthusiasm. "I love you!" We sat up. "I love you! I love you!" Katie said. She threw her arms around my neck. "I know it! I love you too." I replied. "I'm sorry. I just, I wasn't sure about it. I'm sure now, but I am so happy to here you say it back. I didn't think you were sure." I shrugged. "I wasn't. I am now, I need you." She looked like she might cry. "No Katie, don't cry. This is a great moment." I said. "I'm not crying! I'm sweating through my eyes! Wait no that's gross. I might shed a tear of happiness, but it's not technically crying." She replied, crossing her arms and defending herself. I cupped her face, and kissed her nose. "I love you." She uncrossed her arms and kissed my nose. "I love you too. Now come on, you need sleep after all this excitement." "Only if you stay with me until I fall asleep." She nodded, laying down with me. She motioned for me to face away from her, and so I did. She ran her fingers through my hair like she did before, and I relaxed into the bed. She used her other hand to gently rub my back, and soon I was fast asleep.

Teen FictionKatie is not like the other girls in these books, who claim that they're not pretty but really are. She's just genuinely not good looking or special. Jake on the other hand is exactly like the stereo type. Cocky, egotistic, arrogant, shall I go on...
