Shock

Harrys POV

Even though I know its not my fault, as I sat on the edge of the bed with my hand on her shoulder while she laid curled up and motionless, I felt like it was my fault and I failed her.

'Baby I'm gonna call the hospital okay?', I asked as I gently rubbed her arm. She just shook her head yes.

I explained that she was obviously going downhill and if she doesn't get help soon I was gonna lose her and I can't live with that.

The nurse said they would do their best and to just keep her calm and comfortable.

I hung up and called Leah, who showed up in 10 minutes.

I was laying on the bed by Jen with my arm over her waist and my lips against her neck when Leah came in. She smiled and I sat up.

She knelt on the floor in front of the bed so she was eye level with Jen.

'Hey mama, you're losing your fight aren't you baby', Leah whispered and took her hand.

'Thats ok though Jennifer, you don't have to hide it, its ok to be human sometimes Jenny', she said and Jen smiled and squeezed her hand.

'I love you Leah. Through everything, you're the constant in my life. Thanks for being here', Jen said.

'Hey I'll always be here for you, you're like my sister, my best friend and I love you. But I gotta go now, stay strong beautiful. I love you Jennifer' she said and kissed Jennifer's forehead.

After she left I sat back down by her and was just softly rubbing her arm.

She was quiet and didn't talk very much because of how weak she was.

We had just fallen asleep when the phone rang.

'Harry we have a new heart for her, come in now', the doctor said.

I helped her get up and down to the car. Angelo came to watch the kids and said Leah was doing something else.

I got Jen to the hospital and they were prepping her for surgery while I held her hand.

'I love you baby, you'll be just fine' I said and gently kissed her lips.

'I love you too Harry' she replied and they took her in.

About an hour in a doctor came into the waiting room to tell me everything was going smoothly.

'Who's heart is she getting?' I asked.

He looked down and sighed.

'She told me not to tell you two because if you knew, you wouldn't let her go through with it. It was Leah Remini. She volunteered to give her life for Jennifer. Jennifer would have died if it wasn't for her', he said.

I was in a state of shock.

How am I going to tell Jen?
