Chapter 10

~CYNAEX~

Len's POV

Tinanghali ako ng gising. Dahil siguro sa pagod. Pero mabilis naman akong kumilos kaya natapos ako kaagad. But still, kahit na konting oras lang akong nagprepare, kakapusin pa rin ako ng oras. I'm going to be late. Maglalakad pa ako papuntang sakayan. I wore a leather coat and a sunglasses. I let my hair down and I headed to the garage. I have no choice. I took a key and pressed it. Then I headed to that car and find my way out of the house. Taking a driving lesson was a great help. It just took 20 minutes and I'm already at the corner near my school. I parked my car and I went straight to a public comfort room. I took off my coat and change my sunglasses with my eyeglasses. I also pinned my hair up. I put my things on my bag and I headed to the school.

And when I entered...

"Paging Remaina Santos, Ilucina Trampe, Len Cruz and Lance Zey. Proceed to the Dean's office now."

Napatigil ako at napakunot ang noo. Then the idea of what we did yesterday crossed my mind. I sighed. I think I know why.

I straightly go to the dean's office. I saw Cin and Ina sitting in front of the dean. I also sat down. After a while dumating na rin si Lance.

"Good morning Sir Jovan,"bati nya.

He just nodded and motioned Lance to sit.

"I guess you already have the idea why you're here, right?"

We nodded.

"You were caught by the school's cctvs. It's so clear that you escaped your classes yesterday. And the reason is so obvious based on the color of your hairs. "

I rolled my eyes secretly. Now we're really on trouble.

"And for that, you should accept your punishments."

Tumango sila. Hindi na lang ako nagsalita. I'm expecting this anyway.

"You'll be on a 2-hour detention and after, you'll be assigned to clean all the comfort rooms of this school for this day. Understood?"

"Yes Sir."

"I'm hoping that you won't violate any regulation of this university again. You may go."

We all stood up and went straight to the detention room.

Pagkapasok namin, umupo na ako kaagad dun sa isang upuan.

Before we got in here, all our gadgets are collected.

Walang nagsasalita sa 'min. The tension between us can still be felt.

After a while, Ina spoke.

"I know that I pissed you off yesterday pero hindi na nga kayo nagpasalamat, binalewala nyo pa ang ginawa ko para sa inyo."

Hindi ko sya pinansin. I'm not in the mood para makipagtalo sa kanya. Pero nagsalita sya ulit.

"Ikaw Ilucina. You're still wearing that thick eyeglasses. And you're still into that loose clothes. At ikaw Len. Parang wala lang. Ano ba naman?! You're telling me to be sensitive and yet ganyan kayo. What do you think you're doing?!"

I saw Cin gritted her teeth bago nya sinagot si Ina.

"Hindi mo ba talaga maintindihan na hindi ko gusto ang ginawa mo! Hindi ko sinabing gusto kong baguhin ang itsura ko! Wala akong magagawa kung hindi mo matanggap na ganito ako. Wala kang alam Remaina at wala ka sa posisyon para pakialaman ako. Itatak mo yan sa isip mo!"singhal sa kanya ni Ilucina.

"Ano bang problema mo?! You're just going to take that glasses off and wear something appropriate for your size. Bakit galit na galit ka na?! Sobrang binibig deal mo yan na parang isang sumpa na ayusin mo yang sarili mo. Ang OA mo naman!!!"

Nagulat ako ng tumayo si Ilucina at mabilis na lumapit kay Remaina. Then we just heard the sound of a slap. And I saw how Ilucina held her face and sobbed.

Why is she crying?

"W-wala kang alam. Kung para sayo ganun lang yun kadali sa 'kin hindi. Siguro nga isa ng sumpa para sa akin ang makita ang sarili ko ng maayos at wala kang magagawa dun."

And we saw how she broke down and cried her heart out.

"Wala kang ideya kung gano kasakit sakin ang paggawa nun. Wala kang alam kung gaano ako nasaktan ng makita ko ang sarili ko kahapon dahil sa ginawa mo. Wala kang kaalam-alam sa sakit na nararamdaman ko ng bumalik sa akin ang alaala nya. Wala kang alam! W-wala!"

Nagpanic naman si Ina at nilapitan si Cin.

"I-i'm sorry. H-hindi ko naman a-alam. S-sorry talaga." At hinaplos nya yung likod ni Ilucina.Lumapit na rin sa kanila si Lance at tinulungan si Ina na aluin si Cin.

I took a bottled water from the refrigerator in this room and I went near them. I pulled one of the chair. I looked at Lance and I told her to put Cin on it.

Then I gave her the bottled water.

Ina's about to speak when I stopped her.

"Just let her relax first." I calmly told and she just nodded.

It took a while bago tuluyang kumalma si Cin.

Then we didn't expect that she'll talk.

"It's my twin. Identical kami."

And she took out a picture from her wallet. Tiningnan naman namin yun. It was her. Tumingin kami sa kanya.

"Don't look at me. Hindi ako yan. That's my ate." And she smiled bitterly.

Then nanlaki yung mata ni Ina.

"Wait! Ito nga sya. Yung sikat na artista before. Si Nexie Trance. Teka kambal mo sya?"

Cin nodded.

"Where is she?" I curiously asked.

I saw a tear rolled down Cin's face.

"Hindi mo alam Len?" Takang tanong sa akin ni Ina.

Umiling ako.

"She died at young age."

Napatahimik naman ako. I don't know that.

"I was kidnapped before. They're asking for too much money as a ransom that my family can't afford. Alam ko yun dahil umuusbong pa lang ang mga business namin noon at kakasikat pa lang ni ate. Wala akong ibang magawa. I felt nothing at that time. Saka nila nadiskubre na mali ang nakidnap nila. It's suppose to be my sister. Dahil nga hindi nila kayang i-provide yung pera. They just asked my parents to have my sister for an exchange. Syempre hindi sila pumayag pero hindi nila alam na kinausap  ng mga kidnappers si ate. Wala akong magawa ng pumunta sya dun sa sinabing lugar. I felt so helpless. Sana hindi ako nagpauto. Hindi sana ako nakidnap at hindi sana sya namatay. Galit na galit ako sa sarili ko. Yes, we were rescued pero huli na sila. I blamed myself for everything that happened. And I hate it kapag nakikita ko ang muka ko dahil nakikita ko sya. Naaalala ko ang kasalanan ko. I left our house and lived all alone. I plead my parents to let me. I even asked them to let me use another name. Ayokong may maiwang bakat ng nakaraan ko sa akin pero hindi ko naman pwedeng tanggalin ang muka ko, ang katawan ko which is a perfect resemblance of her. I chose to hide and to start a new life and that means punishment. I don't deserve to live a happy and good life. I know that clearly kaya nasa ganitong sitwasyon ako ngayon. I would understand kung iisipin nyo na niloko ko kayo. Well of course niloloko ko naman talaga lahat ng tao sa paligid ko because I'm not Ilucina Trampe. I am Cynaex Trance. Yun ang totoo kong pangalan at yun ang totoong ako."

Silence covered the room. Then I decided to talk.

"That's a lame thought Cin."

Napatingin sila sa 'kin ng nakakunot ang noo.

"What made you think that we'll not able to understand you?" I coldly asked.

Nakita ko namang ngumiti si Cin kahit naluluha na. Then I just felt her hugged me.
