I'm now walking towards the cafeteria. It's been a month since the class started. Nakita ko naman sila kaagad pagkapasok ko. Medyo natagalan ata ako kasi nagsisimula na silang kumain. May pinagawa pa kasi samin. I notified them so...I have nothing to worry about.
"O Len. Tara kain na,"sabi ni Cin.
I just nod at her and put my bag on one of the vacant chairs beside Lance before I went to the counter.
I just ordered and when it's done, I already carried my food. I got my utensils first but when I turned around...

Napatingin na lang ako dun sa pagkain sa sahig.
"Sorry."He simply said.
Kumunot ang noo ko. Why is he saying sorry?
May nakabangga kasi akong lalaki. Muntik ng mahulog yung pagkain ko pero inalalayan nya yun kaya pagkain nya yung nahulog.
Patalikod na sya sa 'kin when I spoke.
"I'm the one who should be sorry."
This time, sya naman yung tumingin sa 'kin ng nakakunot ang noo.
"Pagkain mo yung nasayang, hindi yung sa 'kin." At nilampasan ko sya saka lumapit ulit dun sa counter. I ordered the foods the same as he did. Then, I paid for it.
"Hindi mo naman kailangang---" I cutted him out.
"I insist. Makokonsensya lang ako kung di ko gagawin yan." I flatly told him ng nakatingin lang ng deritso sa counter.
I saw that he just sighed through my peripheral vision.
We waited for a few minutes at ready na yung pagkain nya. But when I turned around. I saw all the tables occupied.
I looked at him. He's just there standing. He's about to walk when I spoke.
"Just follow. We still have one vacant seat."
I felt him stopped and looked at me.
"Hindi na kailangan, sobra sob---" I cutted him again.
He's too humble.
"Ayaw mo?" I faced him with raised eyebrow.

We're now here at our table. Pinaupo ko sya dun sa tabi ko. Sa kabila ko naman si Lance. I'm now eating and I can feel the tension in the air.
Kumuha ako ng tissue at pinunasan ang gilid ng labi ko. I'm losing my appetite with what I'm feeling right now.
"Spill it." I said. Seconds passed before someone talked.
"Who's he?" Lance asked without looking at me.
I'm about to answer him but he continued.
"New friend?"
Napakunot ang noo ko. What's with the tone?
"No." I seriously answered. I totally lost my appetite. What's with him?
"No? Then who is he?"
I faced him. Why does it feel like he's interrogating me?
"I don't know." I coldly answered.
I saw him smirked and faced me too.
"You don't know?! But you bought him food and even let him sit here?" Medyo napataas na ang boses nya.
Kumunot ulit yung noo ko. I felt the eyes of some people looking at us. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, calm down,"mahinang sabi ni Ina but I ignored it, I'm pissed.
"Based on your reaction, nakita mo. And you should've seen my reason why."
Kumunot din ang noo nya.
"Hindi mo naman kasalanan na natapon ang pagkain nya. Hindi mo rin kasalanan na hindi sya nakatingin sa dinadaanan nya!"
Now he sounds accusing.
"Actually it is. Hindi matatapon ang pagkain nya kung hindi nya sinalo ang pagkain ko. I'm just making it even. Can you please be reasonable?!"
Tinitigan nya ako then he coldly spoke.
"I will, if you're being one." At padabog syang umalis.
Ako pa ang hindi reasonable?!
I took a deep breath.
Ano bang problema nya?
Then after a while, I stood up.
I'm now on the corridor and I'm looking for him.
Talagang mag-aaway kami dahil lang dun?!
Paliko na sana ako sa isa pang hallway ng...
"Qaxy."
I stiffened.
Isang tao lang ang tumatawag sa 'kin ng ganyan.
Seconds passed before I decided to face the owner of that voice.
And then, I saw that guy in the cafeteria. Kumunot ang noo ko.
Naglakad sya palapit sa 'kin.
Napaurong ako.
"Can you still remember me, Qaxy?"
I swallowed hard as he said that nickname again.
Nakatitig lang ako sa kanya as his features started to became familiar for me.
That eyes. That same green eyes that I used to looked at before. But still, I need to assure it.
"Who are you?"matigas na tanong ko.
Then, I saw how pain crossed his eyes as he smiled bitterly.
And at that moment, I already assured it. That same dimples that I like the most on his face next to his eyes.
"Brian Soriano, you can just call me..."
He paused for a while.
"...Ian."
I stared at him.
How did he knew that it's me?
