I spent the past three days working out this song. It comes across as a love/break up type song I think but it's really about how I've been feeling since I lost my dog, Chokey, a few weeks ago. All my friends know how tough it's been for me, and it's gotten so much better since the first few days, but every now and then I find myself lying in bed late at night crying because I want my puppy back. These lyrics came to my mind during the most recent of those night.
